Ordered a burrito taco combo. Taco was good.burrito was ordered with tomatoes lettuce cilantro and onion none of which came with the burrito. Steak was crunchy and hard. Paid for extras and didn’t get them.
On a Sunday night we were craving Mexican food so we came to El Sarape. After being seated and given menus we were ignored for 20 minutes and we finally left and went somewhere else. I've heard good things about this place but, in the end, Mexican food is a dime a dozen in Green Bay. Sadly, they've lost our business.
Really liked this place. Fancy? Cute, but not fancy. Authentic? Decorating, too "kitchy" for me, but not bad. Food "and really, that's what we're here for ", excellent! Chips and salsa, chips warm and crispy, salsa really good. I had fish tacos and they were very traditional (ie, excellent!) Service was fast, businesslike and efficient. I will be back!?
The food was excellent! And the staff friendly. Best Mexican food we have had in Wisconsin since moving here from Phoenix!
Yo to this day, El Sarape is the most Mexican I've had while in US ????♂️... I'll be honest, I'd w or you've liked for the "hot" dishes to be actually hot but they weren't however the taste of the food did reminded me to Mexico; the entire time that had Mexican music (all kinds) and I even got to drink some "agua de horchata" (horchata's water or rice water) which it was a bit too sweet for my taste, regardless after puring some water on it it went better ☺️...
I love this place. I always get the Sarape Burrito with Salsa de Arbol. The flavor is always on point. Watch out because the burritos are huge. You WILL have leftovers!
The food was delicious and the waiter was very nice. Everything came quickly and it was just a nice night.
Im sure ill look like the bad guy here but, ive been going to el sarape for several years, with a random mistake here and there. However i ordered food today and i was pretty late to pick up. I called and told them and asked them if they could remake it , like i would at my job. They refused, i was a pretty loyal customer and have sent countless people there. But between the way they treated me when i went to go pick it up and the fact that they weren’t willing to remake the food(even though they were getting paid for it) ill never go back there again.
Some of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the area! Delicious and super friendly service!
I figured all of the locations must sell the same great food right?? :( For whatever reason, the food here is bland and just not that good.
