Our son loves this place and wanted to take us here when we visited from Florida. Food was good but took way too long to get, especially when we had 2 small children with us that were very hungry. Our server, who had a pierced lip, wea very slow to acknowledge us. When we were finally waited on, we ordered everything including drinks. No offer was made to bring anything for the kids sooner, they are ages 3 and 2. I ordered a Skyy vodka martini, which finally came and was okay. We hadn't received our food and wanted more drinks, but the server was no where to be found. I had to go to the bar and order more drinks myself. Finally our food arrived delivered by a very nice guy. No glasses or anything was ever cleared from the table, it was a mess. My daughter in law finally left with the kids because we still had not received a check. She brought the check and we asked for to go boxes for half a pizza and a large amount of mac and cheese. She was irritated when I wanted to look at the check before she took it. I noticed that I had a 4.00 upcharge for Titos vodka which is not what I ordered and a couple of other charges for whiskey that were questionable. I took it to the bar and told her I did not order Titos, which she told me they were out of Skyy so they used Titos. Sorry people you do not spend my money without letting me know first! I told her that she needed to remove the charge and she stared at me blankly. I stayed at the end of the bar, she adjusted the check and proceeded to ignore and take the check to the table, I followed. My son was there still waiting on the to go boxes and I sat down to sign the check. This is when my mind was blown as she told me that I was rude to her.....WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING! I simply asked her to remove a charge that I did not request. How many other people has she over charged...beware!! My son was livid and I left to find the manager, who was very kind, but did not offer any real solution except an apology which I appreciated. My son may continue to go here but I will never go back!!
Visited Copper State Brewing for the first time. Tried a flight of six beers, all of which were pretty good. Also tried the house made seltzer and would not recommend as it was flavorless. Attempted to order a pizza, but they were out of pizza sauce. Settled for a French dip sandwich and a summer salad. The French dip was the most pathetic $15 sandwich I have ever seen, but the salad was decent.
Arrived 4/7/22 @ 5:30. With several tables available, we had to wait 40 minutes to sit down at a table. That was after 3 Copper State beers that were on the menu I asked for..... were unavailable or sold out. The entree I asked for (chicken sandwich) was sold out and the next entree I ordered (turkey sandwich) came with a side one of which was roasted veggies, which was unfortunately sold out as well. My wife's french dip came without the dip (au jus) and was so so. Felt bad for our wait staff Madison who was forced to say I'm sorry several times. It was a sad experience.
Great service, absolutely fantastic food and good beers!!
Michael was a great bartender and very enjoyable and fun. Food was awesome !!!
This was my first visit to Copper State, which will also be my last. I could tell, early on that this may have been a poor choice. Delays in being seated were followed by an extraordinarily long delay in receiving drinks. Our order for $17 burgers was placed and it was served, within a reasonable time, with BURNT rolls/buns. My guest asked, nicely, only for another roll. Rather than taking the sandwiches back to the kitchen, or offering replacement sandwiches, the waiter departs to return later, with un-warmed or toasted rolls... Now came MY task to attempt a reassembly of my sandwich on a cold roll. After summoning the waiter, again, we asked what we were to do with these cold rolls and sandwiches which had cooled. He had no response. We asked to see a manager, but the manager was said to be working the kitchen... and he walked away. Upon returning he became indignant and refused to even listen to our concerns, claiming that HE had never been treated so badly in a fine dining restaurant. He stormed off, again ignoring our attempts to communicate calmly. He returns shortly to inform us that "It's all free" and told us that we "can leave anytime." We did, never to return. A rude waiter trumps burnt buns at Copper State. BTW, there's a GREAT brew pub right across the street!
The pizza here is absolutely exquisite. Great friendly staff, and a beautiful building that reminds you of a simpler time. We also had an amazing burger. What stood out to me was how the bun was toasted to perfection. This is the type of place you could stay for hours. Bravo!
I went out of my way to drive 1.5 hrs due to great reviews. After a long wait, we were finally seated in a less than preferable spot. But it was OK. When my burger arrived, the bun was BURNT on top and bottom, ( see image!) I was courteous and asked the waiter if I could get a bun toasted correctly, he returned sarcastically with 2 very raw buns. I asked for them to be toasted. Again. And he rolled his eyes saying that is how the kitchen gave them to him, so I asked again... he continued to be passive aggressive, saying no one ever complains..... while he was gone, trying to get toasted buns, I asked for a manager. Which I was told the manager could not come because she was cooking . When the waiter arrived with the buns toasted , we thanked him, despite his continued sarcasm. The burnt bun was not that big of deal. The Incredibly poor and rude service was off the charts. I have never been treated so poorly.Better places to go. One right across the street.
Always a great time. The Steak on the steak melt was slightly tough to bite into but had a great flavor. Our waiter was excellent. Very friendly and attentive and the place was packed. Enjoyed very much.
Was in Green Bay for a concert Friday (2/11/22) night and stopped here before - first time - awesome place - beer is fantastic - food was good - great bartenders - definitely be back sometime (wish your beer was distributed in the Madison area)
