This is one of the mainstays of Fond du Lac. I've eaten here when I was a kid and 30+ years later I still stop by for a bite to eat when I'm in town. They have a good variety of American food. The food has changed slightly every now and then but for the most part its menu doesn't change too much. It's always crowded when I go there. A little dark inside but it's a good place to eat.

I'm a new mom and I get one full day to be with my daughter a week while dad works. We have started doing a Mommy Daughter Date night and we always go to friars! Tonight my service was extraordinary! I think my waitress name was Regan and let me tell you how aging she was! I've never had a most amazing dinner experience in my whole life! She completely made me feel great! We talked like best friends and she was so amazing with my daughter We will be back next week! Hope to get her as my waitress again!

I've loved this place since I lived in fond du lac 25 years ago. Anytime I make it to town to visit my family, I ALWAYS go here at least once. Also, they have the bestttt French onion soup I've ever had!

Excellent food. Okay service the last time service wasnt that great but normally very good

Soup crab Alfredo was amazing, onion soup was good too, great selections of bread and rolls. Atmosphere was very nice.

I have fond memories coming here with my dad when I was a kid. I haven’t been here in probably 10 years, always loved the French onion soup, and you couldn’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches on the menu. Still as good as I remembered. Good food and good service, a Wisco classic.

(The main photo of this is not the FDL location..) I've been going to the FDL location for about 12 years or so now. Always perfect. Always get the same thing. It's too good to try anything else. (Cajun chicken sandwich large fries and 2 cheese sauces).
