Stopped by after a long day and were pleasantly surprised by the crowd! Fun music, singing and plenty of patrons! Our server told us it was his first day and was just wonderful! A woman came to our table and made our salsa right before us and tailored it to our liking, it was delicious! We shared nachos which we loaded with meat and delicious toppings and each had a margarita which tasted like it was hand made mix instead of the sugary artificial taste we are used to! We are from out of town and definitely will be back, we were beyond happy with our visit!!
Absolutely horrible. We used to be regular customers. New ownership has ruined it. Everything is always wrong. They said they had signs showing new prices and new menu was being made. They overcharged on all items stating they had a sign up. Wouldn’t fix it, offered margarita and churros for hassle. Maybe they should honor the prices that are in their menus they hand out when no sign is there staying different pricing.
Buffet is out of this world. Tender meat. Fresh fruits. Friendly employees. Amazing décor. Real Authentic Mexican food. Awesome varieties of Mexican foods. Homemade fresh tortillas.
Salsa and chips are always great! Great margaritas! Food and service were not great but not the worst. Food was pretty bland compared to other restaurants in the area, and they don’t understand English very well. I will be going back though for the salsa and chips though.
Authentic Mexican restaurante. Went for the Sunday buffet. Excellent!
This is a hard one to rate. What was GREAT: food, serving size, and live music.What was bad: customer service and when we were seated, we were forgotten about. I was about to stand up and leave when finally two waitresses came over because the person who seated us, told them to. The young staff members were too focused on their hair and makeup in the bathroom. Lastly, what absolutely disgusted me was that the girl who made the salsa, wore her apron as she went to the bathroom. I was in there to witness it.
In the past this place was really good. Tried it for the first time in a couple years and had a really bad experience. We were seated at a dirty table that they wiped off with a dry rag. Waited about an hour for our food and never got the bar drink order. Asked the waitress for the shells that came with my meal and refills since we drank our water before we were served. Never got either after asking a second staff member. After that they completely ignored our table for another half hour while they constantly checked on the tables that appeared to be friends with the workers. Even watched the other server sit on her cellphone for a couple minutes before vacuuming directly next to our table. We ended up giving up on waiting for the things they forgot twice and had to approach a random employee just to get the check.The food wasn't as good as it used to be either. Always ordered the same meal and now it's half the size with different ingredients. Understandable because of covid, but between the downgrade in food quality combined with the worst service I've had possibly ever had I will be going to Riviera Maya from now onEdit: Just had to do a chargeback on this business because they charged me more than my order total. Manager admitted over phone that I probably never received a receipt but cannot fix it without it. They rang it up through a wireless machine and never gave me one. So now rather than having them fix the difference in cost I have to do a full chargeback on the purchase. This place would rather receive a chargeback fine and no money than fix a $15 mistake
I understand it has new owners. Based on my experience this place will be shut down in under 6 months, if not by the health department. Horrible service, no hot water in bathroom, wrong beverages twice, blaring loud music, insane price for a yucky buffet, not allowed to order off menu, and realized after I got home I was overcharged, and stuff all over the floor. Never again.
slow service (took 35 minutes for them to take our order), never brought us chips or salsa (had to go up and ask), our margaritas were pure tequila, waiter never checked in on us to see if our food was good, the chicken on my tacos was chewy and tasted like plastic, and our payment for card was never taken- we had to go up and pay. The waiter did not even write our order down- he memorized it and when we got our food 3/6 plates were wrong. Also, their new system has a fee if you pay with card. Unacceptable and will never be back.
This is the first time I went to this place. My mom took my family and I out for MY birthday. The poor lady was so nice, but I ordered a drink from the bar, Went up twice for it, and after waiting a little over 25 minutes, I finally got my drink with very little alcohol, we kept asking for fresh chips, our Guacamole and napkins, that took a few extra minutes. Finally, time to order, she takes all our food down and we waited over an hour as people that sat after us got our food. My husband and I went up more than a handful of times to ask where our food was and after an HOUR of waiting, we got our food, but it was ice cols. No heat. Soggy. Overly salted beans and then MY HUSBAND food was NEVER put in. We had to wait for our silverware, which my husband had to get up and ask for several times, by the time the food came, our 3 and 4 year old didn't wanna touch their food. I didn't wanna touch my food. My mother was missing half of her meal. The manager wasn't sympathetic at all. I understand being understaffed, but even then they still do a good job getting their food out while it's hot. We were there for over 2 hours and spent less than 15 eating our food, which much of it wasnt eaten. Manager didn't want to do anything and said she would make my husband food, but I told her we will not wait another hour for our food. all the waitresses were 15 years old!! The waitress was tipped super good because she was alone doing big tables when she wasn't supposed to be as it's her first time.
