Everything is high quality and made from scratch using authentic secret recipes passed down from the original owner. Tokyo is definitely a family favorite and better than any other hibachi restaurant we have ever been to!

we had a great experience at Tokyo. We've lived here for over 10 years and this was our first time here. We were lucky enough to sit next to Ian, one of the owners and heard the wonderful story behind Tokyo. we also had great conversations with him and his wife. This will not be our last time here!

Best steak and shrimp in town. Also love their calamari. Highly recommend. Their ramen is easily the best you can find in Eau Claire and rivals most in Minneapolis as well.

The company and chef were all wonderful. The chicken and filet were amazing. Compared to other hibachi grills I've been to I have had better when it comes to the rice, salad, Yum yum sauce and wine selection (they don't serve noodles or try to toss food and sake into your mouth). All in all, I guess i was just happy that my chicken and filet mignon turned out good.

I've been coming to Tokyo for as long as I can remember -- over two decades now. This restaurant has always been a favorite of mine and was always my choice for birthday dinners growing up. The quality of the food is always exceptional, and the service continues to be great even after all of these years. I miss seeing Yoshi and Dona around the restaurant, but the new owners have done a fantastic job of keeping the tradition alive. Definitely the best hibachi and the best shrimp in town!

The food and dining experience here always exceeds my expectations. Definitely the best shrimp in Eau Claire and the ginger dressing and special sauces are truly delicious.

Disappointed. I don't know what happened, used to love Tokyo. Both our meals were small, vegetables were warmer than our proteins. EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY over priced. My meal was $40 for steak and 2 tiny scallops. I can go to Fugi and get lobster added to my steak and scallops for less. Server was friendly, just awkward. Most likely won't be going back and not recommending.

We had never been to Tokyo, but my granddaughter wanted to try it for her birthday lunch. We were seated a long distance from other diners, which worked well for COVID precautions. The service was excellent, and we all enjoyed our food. Both granddaughters had ramen, and said it was great. I had the yakisoba with chicken. I thought it was very good but have never had it before so can't compare with elsewhere. Servings were generous, and I have enough left over for another lunch. The meals came with a nice salad with ginger dressing. We also had a couple appetizers and really loved the Japanese wings. My granddaughters plan to return and have wings for lunch another day.

This place was simple and cute all the way from the exterior to the fish kite banners on the wall to the privacy cloths hung in between each room. As for food, I can only speak for the ramen this time, but both the spicy shoyu and tonkatsu shio were delicious. The noodles were perfectly chewy and able to grab the thicc soup. The seasoned egg was delightful and creamy. The char siu seemed to be braised and then charred on the top. It melted so nicely in the mouth! Both broths tasted similar, but the spicy one was reminiscent of almost (just the tiniest bit) a curry broth because it was so thick, creamy and spicy. Overall, we would definitely come again for the ramen. Plus, they seem to have a great cocktail/special drink selection as well as sake and beer. So glad we stopped by before returning to Menomonie!

Totally disappointed, I ordered fried rice and what they brought was a rice with vegetables, the portions are very little for the price. The chefs are neither Japanese nor Chinese, it is disrespectful to have a Japanese restaurant and it is Americans who cook. The chef did not stop talking all the time about cooking and making fun of the customer who was there at the table. Bad taste to clean the iron when one is eating, that smell damages how little one enjoys the food.
