Price is okay and food was the same. Had the beef pho which honestly was tasty at 1st, but as time progressed the notably use of MSG cut my desire to finish even 1/2 of it. The children's juices did not even taste right, like frozen concentrated juice that sat out for way too long with not enough water. Service was great, but will likely not come back.
This is a very clean, comfortable place to eat. They take their food to a different level that is recognizable in the way that it taste. My only wish is added menu delights. Cream cheese rangoons. Other than that if you like to eat Chinese food that is not expensive, to the point it's surprising, taste great, chicken has a crunch to it and it makes you feel as if you're eating real food, then this is your place. California rolls , sushi bar, and a taste of elegance all derived from the Oriental culture, shanghai bistro has continued to provide great service and prepared excellence for years and hopefully years to come.
great place , friendly staff and owner , and fantastic food. when in town for the week ill eat there 2 to 3 times , it really is that good . the best and generous size sushi rolls anywhere
The staff is amazing! we were greeted by a couple of the staff when we first arrived and it was busy! They made sure to engage and greet us, then let us know it would just be a couple minutes to be seated. Not even a couple minutes later, we were seated. Our server Adriana V. can to our table right away with a beautiful and engaging personality and was very attentive and genuine. Our delicious and hot food was delivered quickly by Jonny 5 which was awesome and quite fun. It is so nice to see wait staff that are not stressed out when their section is busy and see their relaxed and happy personality with nothing forced. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about our experience this evening. We will definitely come back when we visit from Canada again. Thank you to ALL involved in our experience. I've never had a bad meal at Shanghai Bistro, and today definitely didn't disappoint either, I took my kids for lunch since they're on break from school. The entire staff was amazing and polite, especially our lovely server, who made sure to check on our table constantly and took care of our requests promptly! Everything we ordered was delicious, the takoyaki was a little bit too good, I expected my kids not to try it, but they ended up eating two apiece and leaving me with the last one, LOL. We'll definitely be back soon, thank you again Shanghai Bistro, IMO one of the best restaurants in Eau Claire!!
The food was great. Service was great. This place is the first place I have seen a robot bring our food to the table. This help the server keep the tables neat and clean. I would highly recommend giving then a try
Every time we come here we leave with such a good vibe and a full stomach.The food is beyond impressive. if you have not had Bao, you need to and don't forget to add the kimchi.The service is always great.They make great sushi and have a good drink selection.But the highlight of this visit was their new service robot (see pictures). It was great fun to get served by the robot and at no time did we loose the human element as our server was still just as attentive.Come eat here. You will enjoy every minute, I guarantee it.
Incredible! We ordered a Vegan Pho but the kitchen wanted to surprise us so they gave us their leftover impossible meat in it as well. We were confused so we asked the waitress what the meat was and she was super apologetic. They ended up taking the charge off our bill completely and the head chef came out to talk to us himself - So cool!So, we ended up getting a better version of the Pho then we asked for and got it for free in the end. Great service ??
Waitress was awesome, food amazing, male host or waiter super nice and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
