very good food and service.
I ordered for pick up, I was told it would be a 20 minute wait, when I arrived approximately 15 minutes after ordering I went in, and to my surprise my order was sitting there on the counter ready to go.Instead I standed there listening to the cashier speak profanities to her coworker, while my food got cold for the next 10 minutes, waiting for her to finish entering receipts, and this was an hour before close. Why should a paying customer have to waste time from an employee not keeping up on there duties?I'll bring my business to Shanghai Bistro from now on. Sad to recieve this service from a place I once enjoyed quite a bit.
What an experience we had here today. The sushi was fabulous and the wait staff were a super delight and helpful with all of our needs.
I was disappointed when our family ate here. My son had previous good experiences so we expected a good evening, but my food arrived cold and with little taste. The rest of the family seemed to be happy, but I was very disappointed. There are other restaurants in the Chippewa Valley serving Japanese cuisine that have never disappointed us so I don't think I will be back.
Had my first experience with sushi here and wow, I was blown away! So amazing and only wish I had tried sooner! Nicely kept and soothing environment. Recommended for sure and will be back!
We made reservations for valentines day and got sat at our table. The waitress said she would be right with us to take our order. 45 minutes later we never got our order taken and at least 3 tables who got there after us had already ordered. We left and went to Akime Sushi instead. We got sat down 10 minutes after walking in the door with no reservations. We got our food about 10 minutes after ordering. Go to Akime!!
Absolutely my favorite sushi restaurant, love the waitress Vern is always pleasant , very interactive and friendly, the best sever
Wonderful atmosphere and a nice looking bar. The service was also nice which were redeeming qualities.I went about four weeks ago and thought rhe sushi was bad then. I decided to give it another shot and was let down. . .The sushi was absolutely horrible. It was $12 dollars for two lousy and poor tasting rolls. The salmon in the sushi was not even red, it was grey. The crab seemed to be diluted in whatever mixture it was. Generally, just gross. I've had much better sushi from the grocery store.This is very disappointing because I used to really enjoy this restaurant. I hope they get it together soon.
Went here on January 1st, which I have been here multiple times before and it’s always been good. Called to see if there was any tables and the lady on the phone was SOO rude. Got here and there was a few tables but the server seemed stressed and took along time which is fine because it seemed like she was the only person there. I ordered a drink which took 25-30 minutes to get because “the other server” had to make it and wasn’t behind the bar so i didn’t get my drink until after my food was already there which i would’ve wanted to sip on it before. Soup was decent, salad was decent until i found 3 hairs in my salad. Food came every single thing we got was cold not just luke warm actually cold, we didn’t want to send it back since we waited so long & were super hungry, hibachi chicken was disgusting driest chicken i have ever had & no flavor ate one piece and that was it, tasted microwaved. The steak was good a lot of fatty pieces but it it was warm it would’ve been really good. The ramen noodles entree was decent but really cold, all of our vegetables were hard like they hadn’t been cooked & cold. The fried rice tasted like white rice & was also cold. Came looking for chinese food like i have always gotten there in the past & they discontinued all of their chinese entrees because of lack of staff which hopefully gets fixed because this used to be my favorite restaurant in eau claire. Paid over $70 for a 2/10 meal
The sweet potato tempura roll is so good. Highly recommend to anyone. Had a Philly roll, too, since I guess I wasn't feeling very adventurous that day XD Vern was a very friendly and attentive server.
