I did not get to eat here, but I did have a few beers in the bar. The servers were excellent and the place was comfortable. Local beers were available along with what seems like a pretty good bourbon selection. The food that I did see looked great and they serve these huge rolls. Not sure I will ever get back to Eau Claire but this seems like a great place to eat.

Service was prompt, food was made exactly how it was ordered. Good timing between courses. Steak was decent grade and gorgonzola cheese garlic combo topped it perfectly. I did get excited and eat before the pic. The scallops were well browned and still soft. All in all a very good place to eat.

Food and drinks were 10/10. Server was nice but awkward, totally understandable though because I've served for a long time. My steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was well done, the server got me a new one within 5 minutes. Very happy with everything overall. ? I'll be going back for sure.

Johnnys Steak de Burgo was amazing! Popovers and cocktails were great! Server was so nice and suggested great entrees for us.

First, we did not find any mention of reservations being needed. We arrived at 7:40 on a Friday night to find out reservations are preferred Fridays & Saturdays. But, we were welcome to sit at the open high top.The food was great. They have my favorite bourbon. Prices were a little steep. Depending on the occasion, I'd probably go back.

Our Valentine’s date started off great. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink before our table was ready. Once we were seated at our table, our server was bubbly and nice. The popovers were delish, the appetizer was tasty, our soups were also good. Then, our entrees were delivered, and I ordered a drink from our waitress. My husband said his Chef Andy’s Cavatappi was decent. I ordered the 18 oz. bone-in ribeye and scallops with a side of asparagus with Bearnaise sauce. The ribeye was TOUGH, and trying to cut it with a butter knife (they don’t provide steak knives) had the table rockin’. I am a slow eater, so it was maybe 25 minutes before I was done eating, and still no drink. Our waitress finally came back to the table and listed off dessert options. I did order warm chocolate cake and asked if my drink was ready at the bar; she told me she would check. Some time later she came back and said they ran out of the mix used to make the cocktail and that the bartender was mixing more up. I am not kidding, it was 40-45 minutes after I ordered it that the drink finally came. Tables that were seated after us but had a different waitress were already leaving. At no point when she came back to update us on the drink, did she ever apologize for the delay. In any regard, the warm chocolate cake was amazing. So, poor service and a tough steak at a “steakhouse.” If I could convince my husband to go back, I would totally have scallops as my main entree and the same dessert, but make sure we had a different waitress (I have her name on the receipt, but I’m not going to post it here since maybe she was having a bad night, but I won’t chance having her as a waitress a 2nd time). A disappointing Valentine’s experience, for sure!

I booked the hotel attached to Johnny's and bought extra "2" $50.00 meal vouchers. I asked on Friday night if I needed to make a reservation for Saturday and was told no. At 6:00 pm, when I went downstairs to go to the restaurant, I was told sorry we are fully booked. I then stated that what my $100.00 already paid for meal coupons are wasted and the hostess/manager said that no you can use room service (I would have to pay extra for that). She then said (with irritation) that we could sit at the bar and order. It would not have been so upsetting if I hadn't already attended the respiratory therapist conference here, booked a suite at the hotel, and was lied to about having to make a reservation, but then being dismissed at 6:00 pm.....when they are open till 11:00 pm because now they are fully booked, but it was how I was addressed that was upsetting and how seating at the bar wasn't a first option to be offered. This is just bad business. Also, they said they are not affiliated with the Holiday Inn even though they are attached and on the meal vouchers both establishments are listed.

Wow! This place did not disappoint! My husband and I had an appetizer, 3 cocktails, two entrees, two desserts and it was all delicious! Service was prompt and our waitress, Rose was very knowledgeable about the various items and was most amiable. I had steak and shrimp and my steak was cooked to perfection and was so tender! My husband had the porterhouse and it felt like butter in your mouth! The appetizer we chose was an assortment of their most popular: deep fried ravioli (least favorite but still tasty) calamari with a yummy sauce, bruschetta with shrimp, most excellent and a sausage stuffed bread that was amazing! The dessert was a banana cream cheesecake.... HEAVENLY and the raspberry lemon Limoncello which was ok, it tasted a bit dry however we took it home and the next day it tasted a lot better. Total we spent $166 so it's not cheap but totally worth it! We'd love to come again!

Good location. Nice place. Decent service. Decent food, but it is overpriced. It is comparable to a Longhorn Steakhouse or Austin's, but expect to pay about 40% more here. I did not think it was worth every penny. I didn't mind trying it once tho. Steak and garlic mashed potatoes was good. Crab cake was not worth it. Salad and soup was great. Dessert and coffee was pretty good.

Always to notch service and the food never disappoints.
