Pretty good pizza. I prefer more of a woodfired pizza. I’m a local to Eau Claire. Also I’m a vegetarian so I am picky when it comes to quality of ingredients (nice that there was a lot of cheese, but I didn’t find it super flavorful, it was just okay). My parents were visiting for the weekend and they really liked their pizza (it had meat on it so maybe that made it a bit better than the one that I got). Service was great, but personally I would not vote this number one pizza in Eau Claire.*Updated/edited to add that the cheesy garlic bread is awesome.
THIS IS PIZZA YOU WRITE HOME ABOUT!! Where to start… the aroma, the taste, the cheese! Gino’s in Eau Claire did not disappoint. In fact, it utterly impressed, so much so I couldn’t stop eating it… I ordered the Wallo Works on a thin crust and as they say; it is a must try—they are not wrong! They load it with toppings and they do it with love, no laziness in their craft. Each bite was full of flavor with the light pepperoni spice, green and black olives, succulent sausage, and oh, the genius with that little banana pepper crunch! All this comes completely encased in a tomb of cheesy deliciousness. It perfectly melds and holds it all together on the thin but stable crust. And we loved the crust, thin, crisp but not crunchy, marvelous in everyway and it was still excellent the next day! The cheese is a delightful blend of mozzarella and magic. There is a flavor to the cheese that I can’t quite grasp, but it reminds me of the cheese of your favorite pub pizza. The sauce was deep red, thick and robust. I loved the sauce but I will not lie. The cheese, toppings and crust stole the show, but the sauce was there adding its flavor to every bite—like the perfect compliment. We also ordered the cheese sticks with the thick crust. They are a wonderful blend of cheese, butter and garlic, served again with the perfect sauce to complement. The cheese sticks are very good and made of quality. They did not blow away me as I was at the Pizza, but I am the Pizza Pirate after all. If cheese sticks are your thing, they are worth the order! Well done, Gino’s, and thank you for the incredible pizza. The pizza costs a little more than a big chain, but they made it with lots of quality ingredients. I’m very timid to trying new pizza places. As soon as I walked in the door I was hooked it smelled fantastic! We were greeted by two guys and they were nothing but pleasant our entire time there. The pizza was amazing, the garlic bread was on fresh loaf bread with cheese and the root beer float I got was great! Matt in the kitchen did a great job! We will definitely be back for more!!
In the mood for a slice and I was impressed with the experience. Seriously, this was an unbelievable pizza joint. Geno's became my new favorite pizza place. The flavors were amazing. We started out with their boneless wings covered in their House Sauce. Highly recommend it. Great flavors in the sauce with a kick. Then we ordered their Geno's Deluxe pizza, Hawaiian Pizza and their Chicken Bacon Ranch. The toppings on these were phenomenal and their homemade marinara is insane. Portions are great you will definitely get your fill. Fantastic Customer Service.
I really did not think it was very good pizza. The crust was mediocre, the sauce was pretty good (but there was way too much of it), and the amount of cheese was over the top.Every time I took a piece and took a bite the top layer of cheese would slide off. The result was that the first bite would be a giant slice of cheese and the second bite would be a soggy piece of crust drowning in marinara.The Canadian bacon was also placed under the cheese, so it did not get crispy in the oven at all.Honestly, I would prefer Domino’s. Much cheaper and pizza is proportional and frankly tastes better.The garlic cheese bread was quite good, however.
Ate here last night. Wasn’t expecting pizza this good in Eau Claire. Wings were fantastic also. We came in half hour before close and ended up staying a little late, staff were okay with it and treated us great. We will come back for sure.
By far my favorite wings in the area! Lots of meat and the perfect combination of sweet and spice. You can tell the staff enjoy what they do regardless of how busy they get. They are witty and always ready to crack a joke. I will often order for pickup and arrive early just to have a beer and soak in the atmosphere. Keep up the great work guys!
Did a internet search for pizza joints,read the reviews for Geno's,they were all great so went for it. The guy that answered the phone had entry of ,let's say pizza attitude,he was friendly,clearly spoken as funny as,well you know. Told me it would take a bit because wood fired stone pizza oven,I was fine with that,sounded even better to me. The delivery guy showed up,only took about 35 min. Opened pizza box,wow,this thing looks fabulous,first bite, absolutely delicious. Will order from these guys again. Do yourself a favor,look no further,place the call
Ordered here while visiting family and it’s amazing. The staff is awesome and super friendly. I called and Shawn answered the phone and it was easily the most friendly conversation I’ve had with staff at a restaurant. This place has a family feel and amazing pizza. You cannot go wrong here and I’ll be back when I visit again.
