Had chicken and shrimp lol mein.Ordered and paid for extra. If that was extra I guess that technically one or 2 more is extra LOL.Noodles and flavor was really good.Chicken was dried out and overcooked. Maybe just a fluke or something but I'll be sticking to Jade garden. I'm sure my wife will continue to be a good customer.As for me, you knocked me over the fence.
The lemon chicken at fortune cookie is delicious. It is similar to orange chicken. However, it is far less sweet. I prefer to have the texture of orange chicken with the tanginess of lemon. It is delightful. My challenge with fortune cookie restaurant is that they do not take Visa or debit. They only take cash transactions. So you must be prepared to pay in cash. They also close early every evening. But this is the case in most restaurants in Eau Claire. They often forget at least one small detail of the order. Usually it is soy sauce. They are stingy with the soy sauce. I will order three things. Three entire entrees. They will give me three singular packets of soy sauce. If I did not enjoy the food it would be more upsetting. I do enjoy the food. So I have learned to live with these minor inconveniences. They will consistently forget something, however. They will offer to give me a fortune cookie at Fortune Cookie restaurant. I will accept said fortune cookie on the telephone, possibly even pay for it , I am not certain. I will anticipate the fortune cookie with glee. When my order arrives the fortune cookie that was promised will most certainly not be in my bag. If it is not one small thing it is another small thing. You can rest assured that almost always some small thing will be forgotten from your order. The food is good but not spectacular. It it does arrive hot. I do believe the restauranteurs try their best to provide good food and service. So I will continue to frequent Fortune Cookie.
If I could give 6 stars, you'd have them. Has never disappointed.

My favorite Chinese food spot! I drive to Eau Claire for it even though I moved to Chetek a year ago. Worth it.
Nothing bad to say about the food because I couldn't pick up my order. Cash only - I tried asking over the phone but I got hung up on immediately after placing my order. Then when I showed up without cash the lady told me I wasn't paying attention. Plenty of better Chinese options in town - avoid this place and their outdated business model
