Great food.
We stayed here over MEA with our 2 kids, age eight and five. Our room had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa sleeper which was perfect for our family of four. You get wristbands for the water park when you check in to the room. The water park has a lazy river, hot tub, 2 slides, a toddler/kid area, a bucket that dumps water, a pool with balls and a basketball hoop, and a lily pad rope cross thing. There is also a snack bar in the water park that sells alcohol for the adults (and snow cones). We really loved exploring the mural that is on all the walls. My kids kept finding new things in the mural. On the other side of the hotel is the trampoline park, arcade, go karts and bumper cars. You need to pay extra to do those things and it can get spendy. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast and dinner. There is also a pizza place in the hotel that will deliver pizza to the waterpark. There is also a Dairy Queen in the trampoline park! Honestly we didn't leave the hotel for 48 hours, there was so much to do. It can get noisy at night, but we always bring fans and white noise machines for sleeping. If you can request a room facing the back, not the interstate. It was quite bright with the lights from the interstate. Staff was very friendly and helpful and we saw them cleaning and sanitizing often.
For fun, this hotel/resort gets a 5. We had 8 grandkids ages 4-11 and they loved it. The adults did too. The water park was excellent with a number of slides that were fantastic for both adults and kids. Also an area for smaller kids, with slides, water guns, and tunnels. The hotel were pretty average. We had 2 suites that were spacious, clean and had what we needed. Some of the decorating of the rooms was a bit suggestive and not really appropriate for a family with kids. There was a colorful fake bong in one room and some artwork on the walls that was a bit on the tawdry side. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The Action City had a LOT of variety. For kids and adults of all ages. Many many choices for things to do. The only downside to Action City was the pricing. Pretty darn expensive and limiting how the various areas where priced and timing. It was frustrating, for example, to want to spend an hour in the jumpy section, but you had to do a 2 hour session, only. I would have preferred to buy as you go or load up a card and simply swipe and the money would run down per each activity. The outdoor go cart track was closed, and that was something many in our group wanted to do. The indoor go cart track was pretty good, but the outside one looked even better. If you are looking for family fun, this would be the right choice.
They serve amazing bar food, drinks and deliver excellent service here and at great prices too! I feel like I've died and gone to heaven and can't wait to come back next time I visit this wonderful State.
Food was great. Got the Pub Burger and tots and it was delicious, drinks were reasonably priced too.
I booked a room for my family and told them at the time of making reservations I was going to use gift cards given at Christmas and cash for remaining. Wasn't until day of reservation that I was refused the use of cash for remaining after bank closed. Room costs too much, unfriendly staff. Not booking again.
For the price you can find better. The walls are paper thin allowing you to hear the neighbor kids. The lighting in the room is very dark and doesn’t allow you to see your stuff in your bags very well. Beds are shot or extremely cheap. The only plus side is the waterpark and “action city” for the kids but if you travel further you can find better.
Our room was very nice. The on-site restaurant ("The Pub") was visited for two very nice meals, with special deal coupons given to us upon check-in. The Chaos water park was a lot of fun. It was not too crowded when we visited, and there were enough lifeguards walking around to make sure nothing got out of hand. Both the "Hurricane Run" high slide that is ridden on an inner tube and the big yellow water slide were great, and were well attended by staff advising each person when it was safe to start down. The lazy river was relaxing and nice, and there were plenty of inner tubes to be had each day we were there. The chlorine in the hot tub was pretty powerful, but maybe necessary. Our room was very nice, with whirlpool tub. Due to Covid, there was no room service, but we were able to get all we needed at the front desk. I wouldn't truly say this is a 5-star place, but I'm giving it 5 stars for being great for what it is; a nice hotel with onsite restaurant/bar with two indoor amusement parks attached. We enjoyed the indoor electric race cars in the park at the opposite end from the water park. The only things that I thought were not quite as good as they should be were signage, and the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower. Upon driving into the place by the main sign, nothing looked like a hotel entrance. We drove around and looked all over and nothing looked right. It was only after parking and entering on one end and walking through some hallways that we found a front desk and learned that we had to drive way around the water park building. Upon doing that, we saw some signs indicating the check-in area was ahead, but it was not at all clear upon entering the property where hotel guests are supposed to go. The soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower were the worst I've ever seen. You had better have the grip strength of a gorilla to get the material dispensed. They said, "Gently squeeze," but it took a lot of force to get a very slow dispensing of liquid. Those issues were not enough to affect the enjoyment of our stay. I only mention them as recommendations for areas of improvement. All in all, we had a wonderful time there. We would certainly go back.
Wanted to take kids to a water park, and I chose here over the dells. I’m not a huge pool person, but I’m happy if there is a lazy River or hot tub. Super disappointed with the lack of tubes, I was not able to secure one at all today! Only enough for about half of those who want one between the River and slide.... not cool for the price we paid. The hot tub was so heavy on chlorine my eyes burn- and, it’s hidden away in a corner- you cannot see the pool so i cannot watch my kids from there. Overall disappointed ?. The arcade is fun however, and the rooms are decent.
My wife loved the chicken wrap
