Great food like the El Pastor street tacos or the taquitos are delicious. Recently had the Plato Del Mar, tilapia and shrimp, and it was delicious. Great service and pet friendly on the deck upon request.
Went in on a Tuesday family of 5 at 9:40 and they said the kitchen was closed .
It's our first time there and will totally come back. Food was great, prices very reasonable, staff was also great. My daughter and I already made plan on making it a more regular lunch spot.
Was originally hesitant eating Eau Claire Mexican. We only went there because all the other places in town were closed on a Sunday afternoon but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of their food. I would recommend.

Awesome authentic Mexican food. My personal favorite is the Vallarta grill. It is like an open faced fajita with rice and is smothered in white cheese. Delicious!!! Friendly staff and plentiful plates for a reasonable price. I'm a frequent customer!
Hubbies ate there last night about 6pm ordered take out steak burrito, he said the lettice tasted odd and steak did today today it's 245pm he says he doesn't feel good , we have eaten there before with similar issue but gave it another try , very dispointed won't be going back. Noticed the cooks weren't wearing gloves or masks that's a no go for us.
Had a mix-up with a to-go order where we were given the wrong food. They called us and told us to bring the food back and didn't apologize or thank us for driving back. They acted as if it was our fault for getting the wrong order. The staff was unwelcoming and rude about the whole thing. Disappointing as we have frequented this restaurant and enjoyed it.
Worth every penny. Best shrimp in Eau Claire (and I'm from the coast, so lemme tell you). Service is always excellent, menu is expansive and with a good variety. And they don't care if I come in right after I close at work and they're only open for another 30, they still feed me so I love it!I got the grilled shrimp Vallarta but dug into it too quick to get a pic...next time maybe!
We have covered the entire menu at this point and have tried all they have to offer and it is all exceptional food! Top to bottom the most tasteful menu in the chippewa valley and everything they make is better than any other bean seller in the northern states. The Beans are the best I have had anywhere and there entire menu is diverse and well made. I wish that I could eat this food 5 days a week but we save it for special munchie occasions because we want to keep it special everytime we eat. Fear nothing! Anyone who writes a bad review is mistaken and probably is talking about the wrong foody. I have ordered everything on this menu and still feel this is the best place to eat in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls and really it is as good as any Mexican I have eaten outside of Texas. There is no bad choice on their menu and everyone should eat here and make sure this business survives here for decades! EAT HERE !
