Was a Mother's Day treat to take me here for supper, but have to say nothing was really good about the whole experience. There was no bartender, so our drinks were 'winged' & as there was only one waitress, everyone was doing a lot of waiting - all the tables of people. Food was blah as well.Will say our waitress was working really hard & tried to make sure everything was ok. She def earned her tip+This was my first & probably last trip.
My son's favorite restaurant is Applebee's. On his 7th birthday we let him pick where he wanted lunch. Of course he chose Applebee's. It was 2pm on a Saturday so it wasn't very busy. We were seated in a booth and proceeded to be ignored by our server for 20 minutes. There was another family that came in and sat next to us. After about 5 minutes they were greeted and served their drinks as we paitently waited to still be greeted. Needless to say we ran out of patience and left.
The waitress was awesome. The food on the other hand was horrible. My bourbon street steak was a bad peice of meat, the sauteed onions were raw, my wife's French onion sup had a slice of cheese thrown on and not melted, my kids fries were doused with salt and pepper.The manager argued with us and was very unprofessional.I ask that no one go here and let them shutdown.
Great place to work. Great understanding managers. Great co-workers. Everyone works as a team & we all have a goal to make everyone happy that walks through the door ? Being a server and living off of $2.33 an hour is hard, but when you work at a place you really enjoy it's great! Also, people do not always see the work behind the scenes. Our bartender only gets $4 an hour but has to make bar drinks, serve, clean bar glasses, & pack orders and process payments to our carside guests even on busy Friday & Saturdays! We all try to help eachother here regardless and that's why this place is great in those regards.
Very friendly staff from the young man bringing us to our table to the waitress and also the gentleman the brought us our food. Everyone was so nice and it seemed like they worked together, which was nice to see. I would definitely go back again
My food it was terrible! I had salmon it tasted like it was fry in an old oil. My drink was so blend no taste whatsoever!
Where is a manager? Food was great and hot! But sitting at the bar, tender was very green and over his head with just a few at the bar and not too many drink orders from the dinning room.Sat while eating with dirty drink glasses right in front of me and he had to have multiple helpers assisting him making/pouring drinks, washing glasses,serving plates.I hate making bad reviews on anyone, but when I heard him brag about he's the best bartender in eau Claire area! I just have to say your not even realizing what it takes to be a good bartender!Oh! By the way I didn't even get his name or his mine! Just when I sat down he asked Drinking or eating or both!Please learn how to do your job on a more professional level . Just saying...
The Applebee's in EauClaire is always a great choice for lunch or dinner. The food was great and definitely enough to fill you up. Delicious appetizers with the wings or you can get the famous dip as well. Either way still have excellent steak and shrimp like I've had and the chicken wings are great especially the honey BBQ. Something for everyone and definitely will not disappoint.
I ordered the Bourbon Street Steak, medium rare, and it arrived well done. I sent it back and fifteen minutes later it arrived, you guessed it, well done! This location needs to close its doors before it damages whatever is left of Applebee's reputation.
We sat down and it took about 15 minutes for our waitress to come ask us what we wanted for drinks and then it took another 10-15 minutes for us to get our drinks and appetizer and then another 30 minutes to get our entrees and my wife and I both ordered pull off the bone ribs but they were really terrible ribs... were not fall off the bone at all just a really bad experience and we will not be going back there....
