We did takeout and it really hit the spot!! Something for everyone and extremely fresh ingredients. Our kids loved the chicken fried rice and Pad Thai!! Thank you for an extremely delicious dinner!!
Just had my last meal at this place. This restaurant has really gone down in service and gone way up in price. Got some beef fried rice and crab ragoons for 23.00 bucks. Crab Ragoons were so overcooked and hard I could only choke 2 down. Have to always wait 10-15 minutes to even get someone to come to the hostess station, then when they do you never even get a hello much less a thank you. It’s totally apparent that these folks hate their jobs. To top it off the place is filthy. Won’t be back again.
When we went here we ordered a bunch of different sushi. Their rolls were mediocre (flavorwise) and it was hard to find rolls that had whole fish instead of tar tar. If you are looking for simple rolls like California and Boston they are good. Their coconut Shrimp was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. The biggest peeve was the decorations on the plate. They put a decapitated Shrimp head for decoration ( I don't want to stare into the soul of the Shrimp I am eatting). They also put a vase with a fake flower and fake bird. There is no way to sanitize that properly and we are working with raw food here.
First time eating there. They were short handed and didn't have the hibachi open. They claimed that if you ordered hibachi it would be cooked that way in the back. My rice was not cooked on the hibachi and makes me wonder how the rest of my meal was cooked. The rice was also a little hard for fried rice. And I've always got yum yum sauce at every hibachi I have ever went to...not here. I will maybe try them again if the hibachi ever opens again. But otherwise I was not overly impressed with my meal.My husband enjoyed his meal.
We ended up here after our original sushi place was a 2.5hr wait. You tell they were a little short staffed, but who isn’t right now? No big deal. We waited at the bar until a table was ready. I don’t remember his name, but the bartender ended up also being our waiter after he noticed we hadn’t been helped for a bit after being seated. He did a fantastic job. Knew the menu, was very professional, great attitude, and was fun to chit chat with. As far as the good- all good, no complaints or issues. 10/10 would come back no problem.
My 3rd time goinging there, twice within a week. Super fast service and the best quality seafood/sashimi. 10/10 would recommend for people who like more classic simple sushi as opposed to fancy roll. However there rolls are good too I have only tried 3 because the chefs choose sashimi is to die for.
Food was good. Can't really complain. As a college student on a budget they are a reasonable price. But I didn't like how when I went to order carryout (since the website wouldn't let me order for pick up) I felt rushed. The staff wasn't rude but it made me feel very bad and I lost my appetite. I understand having no staff (I work at a restaurant that has the same issue) but I don't want to be made to feel bad when I don't have the time to sit in and eat but still want good food. ?
Had a great meal at TJ with family. Had a few appetizers, drunken noodles with chicken, and an assortment of sushi rolls (black dragon, amazing, Wisconsin were the best).
Excellent! the chefs makes everything from scratch - including soups & sauces - so it takes a little longer. Flavor difference is night & day sushi is amazing! Have patience, they are suffering from labor issues like everyone.
Portions were generous and flavor was on point. The staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere was quite nice. My only complaint is that I asked for maximum spice for my dish but it was not spicy at all.Edit: I have changed my review to 5 stars as I went here again last night and everything was top notch and also properly spicy this time.
