This place is ABSOLUTELY amazing. All dishes are elegantly displayed to add a warming touch. ALL dishes (other than to-go) are glass and metal saving waste from entering the land fills. It is cute, inviting and cozy.

Every time we visit Appleton this is our go-to breakfast and coffee shop. The coffee choices are great and quality is always good! Really enjoy the pastries and yogurt dishes.

Great simple decor, good food and coffee. Excellent location ( although a bit hard to find even with Google.. Be persistent. It's worth it.)

Was in town for a wedding and before we headed out for a long drive back to Fargo we wanted the best coffee in town. The barista told us we came to the right place and he wasn't wrong. I had a plain latte and my first sip transported me back to the Sunny Coast of Australia where you can only get excellent espresso. All my two friends who ordered specialty lattes could say was "wow". After we finished our drinks in the car, we would reminisce on the wedding and also the incredible latte that we had that morning. So yeah, I'd recommend.

Excellent service, presentation was wowed!?So tasty and fresh! Coffee is excellent also! Great atmosphere! Love how it's decorated! It felt very relaxing!

I usually get a latte here and it is amazing! I also love the people and atmosphere, wish there was one closer to home. Highly recommend

One of the best coffee houses in the area, pretty consistent with quality of coffee. Haven't had food here in a while but it was good when I did.

Excellent local coffee shop. The coffee and food is five star all the way. I love the lattes from here and they have friendly efficient employees. Definitely recommend this place.

Almost 8 bucks for a burnt biscuit? Shame on your kitchen for sending this out.

Tempest offers delicious coffee brewed by highly skilled baristas, a rotating menu rich with locally sourced ingredients, and a relaxed modern environment where everyone is welcome to express themselves.Espresso, when prepared the right way, can transform any boring workday into a fantastically productive workday- every visit to Tempest has helped to produce some of my very best work. If you’ve never had a coffee that makes you do a little happy dance in your seat, I highly suggest you stop at Tempest to find out how happy dance-worthy coffee tastes. The menu rotates seasonally, allowing for the freshest and best tasting local produce to shine. There are options for nearly all dietary restrictions. Gluten free, Vegan, as well as selective GFV. All in-house bakery is vegan. They use a high quality sourdough that some gluten-sensitive folks, like myself, are able to enjoy. There’s ample parking nearby, As a regular, I highly suggest, parking in the first lot on the left or right rather than hoping for a spot down the hill and having to do a five-point turn-around.The interior is modern and clean, with local art featured year-round. It can get a bit loud at peak hours but, off hours are wonderful for reading or simply enjoying the beautiful view of the river. Outdoor seating is available when weather permits.Whether eating inside or outside, please note, there are two dish return bins on either end of the bar.No matter the time of day or time of week, you can expect to have an amazing experience at Tempest.
