I love almost everything here! Except the price is a little bit high. They have different plates and plates styles for same food!I love rainbow rows the best ! Strong recommendation for raw seafood lovers! It literally melting down in your mouth!Curry and appetizers are also good. But the light is too dim for me. But still awesome experience there!

My wife and I brought some visiting friends here for dinner and we all had a great time. Barty was an excellent chef and performer! Highly recommend ?

Terrible communication. My husband made a reservation for a special night out in the dining room. When we got there, they told us the reservation was for hibachi. We didn’t want hibachi for our romantic evening. They told us to look in the small plates room. Our server told us he could get us chicken that was not breaded. Which would have been fine. But then he came back and said he couldn’t. We then quickly went back to the host stand and they told us they gave up our table and refused to get us unbreaded chicken in the small plates room, even though we were willing to pay the difference. The manager never seemed to care about putting the customer first. Don’t waste your time. And make sure you do not go here for a special evening as it could be easily ruined. The small plates room did not have any ambiance to top it off.

Wonderful service, great sushi, and the hibachi is sooo good! And I love the salad dressing, so fresh.

My family and I had a good time at the restaurant. The only thing that I would say was a bit confusing was choosing between the 2 dining options. It took the hostess some time to explain it to us as well as the couple that was before us. Maybe there is a way to get the explanation simplified perhaps with visuals. Once we were sitted though we enjoyed our food. We were able to cook our own dishes and had plenty of rice. The meats were sliced and prepared well, bit sized. My daughter enjoyed the sushi and mochi dessert. The total bill for us was over a $135 for 4 of us. The experience was nice, the ambience was great, and we were full.

Kungpai! Big city ambiance, decor and a multitude of dining options-sushi, nigiri, sashimi, hamachi and great sake. My “I don’t eat raw fish” friend enjoyed grilling his own sashimi grade steak, chicken and shrimp right at our table. All the complimenting sauces were superb. Right across street from the Fox Cities Performing Art Center and newly renovated Hilton, a great dinner and a show or overnight get away big city feel without the drive and traffic to Milwaukee or Chicago. Congrats Hiro and family on having the vision and fortitude to bring squid lamps, bidets, and Gishai murals to Appleton.

First time here for my wife, daughter and I. Daughters boyfriend had been here once. Had hibachi style, our chef was very entertaining and food was great. Portions were good too. Overall a great dining experience.

Was a great experience went on a Saturday night and expected to have to wait went to bar area to enjoy a drink and some small plates while we did so. Once we got our table for grilling our food we proceeded to enjoy the experience of being to cook ourselves it was fun and an overall great time. Staff was friendly place was clean. No complaints

Good Japanese food. A bit expensive.

I got there as they opened and ate at the bar. Good sushi ?, nigiri, and appetizers.
