Very delicious food and nice waiters. The ambiance is very nice and relaxing. I ordered the Stuffed Shrimp with a side order of Deep Fried Mushrooms. They also offer a salad bar if you order a regular meal.
We have always loved coming here for special occasions/date nights. Came here for a friends birthday after not being here for a good year or two and it was good as we remember it. My personal favorites have always been the scallops and tenderloin!
Went for Friday perch. Salad bar was lettuce and dressing as well as clam chowder. Nothing else.Perch was good but tartar barely had any pickles in it. Potato choices for Fridays is french fries, potato salad or baked potato. I had to lift my cup and search to see a speck of pickle. Old fashions were just ok.
Complete headache and chaos to get a table. No hostess so it’s a fight between who can get a servers attention first to place an order. How difficult is it to give a number or place people in order they arrive. Won’t return to this garbage
Atmosphere is great. However, I went for the food and was not impressed. My steak was fine, but I could get that anywhere. And the scallops were beyond fishy. The flavor on the scallops (maybe the parmesean) also threw me off and didn't go well with the fishy taste. Very off putting. The fries were normal.... Crinkle cut. Nothing impressive.The best part of the meal was the warm bread to start with. I also liked the Salad bar. Prices were reasonable. Food could definitely be improved. The staff was very busy but nice.Also, what's up with not having a hostess? I didn't even think the waitress would come as I waited a while. You need a hostess stand for those who don't want to sit at the bar and drink.Won't be coming back mostly because the food was blah.The comment about them doing their system since 1968 is hilarious. We are not in 1968 anymore. Processes change, life progresses. Change isn't bad. Not everyone prefers your 1968 method.Stop making excuses and look at the customer feedback. It wouldn't be a horrible thing to make some proper changes.Go to the Black Otter instead!
Absolutely hands down one of the best dining experiences in a long time!! The liver pate, brandy old fashioned sour and tenderloin were perfect. Excellent variety on the salad bar. The lasagna soup was delicious!!!
Not very welcoming supper club. No one acknowledged us when we walked in or even received a Hello. Staff almost avoids you. We didn’t even know who the waitress was once we were seated. We waited a long time. We were not asked if we wanted a drink. We had to ask for water as our glasses were empty from waiting. Food was very unpleasant. Waitress didn’t check in. Would not recommend this place. Definitely not a supper club or atmosphere of one either. Drink was very watered down.
Nice salad bar with two choices of soup. The menu has a nice selection and reasonable prices.
Absolutely recommend lunch specials. Waitresses and bartenders are awesome. Always have had a great meal
Went there for friday fish. The place was packed with no direction on where to go. Once we made our way to the bar we found out you order and then you get a table after that. The old fashioned was delicious. The salad bar was minimalistic. The fresh bread was amazing. Fish had a very light but tasty breading. Staff was polite. Everything you expect from a classic WI fish fry.
