Chicken with honey mustard sauce with a side of red beans and rice. The whole dish was delivered less than luke warm. Even the baked potato was cold in the center. The red beans and rice was way over salted (I lived red beans and rice while in Texas and LA and never found a recipe with any salt). We mentioned that it was cold and the staff brought out a replacement very quickly. Some of the food was warmer but still not hot and the baked potato was cold in the center again. The chicken breasts were tough just like they had been over cooked (including the replacement dish). The amount of food served was so much it was actually somewhat unappetizing (but this is my home state of Wisconsin and we all know it has a very high rate of obesity, so the amount of food is probably normal). The waitress was cordial and did a good job. We left feeling her good work was wasted.
Had a craving for some comfort food and Cheddar's did not disappoint. I chose the country fried steak w/southern style green beans and mashed potatoes. The beans were so tasty, almost a sweet onion flavor. Mashed potatoes were real country style, not whipped. The chicken fried steak was so tender, you just need a fork. All topped with classic gravy. Whew! I'm stuffed! The best part? The price. Everything is reasonable and actually less expensive than most popular franchises. The staff were very accommodating and our server Colin was the best.
My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary here the other night! It was the first time that we have been to cheddar's scratch kitchen, but because I tend to favor restaurants that cook food fresh and from scratch, we decided that we most definitely needed to give this place a try. We are so glad that we did! I would like to start this review by recognizing our server, Kendall! She was an absolute joy!! Very friendly and personable, great sense of humor, and an overall Fantabulous personality!! We loved her! We will most definitely be requesting her as our server each and every time that we come back!The food was fantastically delicious! Fresh and made from scratch just as they claim! I had the chicken and pecan salad with steamed Broccoli and sweet green beans, Delicious!! My wife had the vegetable plate, also delicious!! We also enjoyed a watermelon and Long Island iced tea margarita, double delicious!! We loved everything out our experience here, and we will most definitely be back! There food is always very delicious the Montre Cristo and Buffalo Chicken wraps have to be my favorite things so far!Restrooms are always clean and the staff is pretty much always pleasant to talk to. The waits are never to horrible
Decent food, great service (sat at the bar). My salad was fresh and the chicken nice and crispy. My wife's burger was gone - she loved it. Place was packed on a Thursday night if that's any indication. Have eaten there before and will again. Worth the visit...
Prior to dining at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, I'd heard mixed reviews about it. The establishment was clean and the wait staff was professional! Being my 1st time, I was unfamiliar with the menu options. They were very pleasant, helpful and patient. The food came out exactly as ordered, the first time! Our entire party was satisfied. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! I will for sure be returning and sending as many people to this establishment as possible!
Highly recommend Cheddar’s! Even being a little short staffed the service was amazing and the Bartender rocked it out! My wife got the steak which was amazing the Ribs are my new favorite, overtaking Brisco County Wood Grill which is still my favorite Brisket. Cheddar’s sides are also great. Last but not least…… The appetizers are so good and could be a meal in itself. Can’t wait to go back even knowing it is 45 min drive.
The food was marvelous, our waitress was very attentive. The portions were beyond adequate. Very pleased.
Went to this place for the first time on 3/24/2022 at 6PM, I ordered 6oz top sirloin steak which was very chewy. My husband ordered the half rack ribs and it was very dry as shown in the picture (should fall off the bone). Told server and she apologized then walked away. The only thing good we had was my step-son’s chicken tenders and the step-daughter’s coconut shrimp which was okay.
I feel like this place would be great if it were adequately staffed and if the workers weren’t so stressed. Food was fine, but overpriced for what we got.
