The food was excellent. The wait staff is professional and very knowledgeable. You never felt rushed.

My partner picked it for his birthday dinner, we met his family there- we were able to get seated early. The food was amazing, everybody was happy with their meal, doesn’t happen often. The appetizers, meal, atmosphere and desserts were exceptional. I feel bad that we’ve overlooked this gem. Our server was amazing, being patient with the questions asked and the family getting together. Will definitely go back, wished tonite’s rigatoni special with the peppers was a regular item but knowing everyone loved their meal, will try others. It means a lot when restaurants use a lot of local farms for their meals. Seeing staff going that little extra step without question also means a lot.
Growing up in an Italian Family, it is hard to compare Italian Restaurants and their authenticity to what I am used to; so with that being said, I would say this restaurant is OK. The food isn't anything super exceptional when it comes to authentic Italian cuisine . . .My mom had the Ravioli, grandma had the linguine with chicken and red sauce, and I tried the Fusilli with shrimp and a light, white wine sauce.I would say the prices are a little on the high side and to have table bread is an extra $3. We tried the Creme Brulee & Gelato for dessert and both were really good!A couple things to add for management would be that the lighting was really dim in the evening - almost too dark to even read the menu - and the menu print is too small. There was also a cold draft - almost like the air conditioning was on - and it was cold outside; so that made it not so comfortable.Our server was very knowledgable of the menu and really friendly!Overall - 4 stars!
We’ve had good experiences when just my husband and I went. We brought our kids with us for my birthday dinner. It was a vastly different experience. It took 45 minutes before the server even asked for any appetizers. The server would visit the table next to us 2-3 times before checking in on us. Our dinner took two hours. Super disappointed, won’t come again.
Excellent food with a cozy atmosphere! Excellent service and a favorite for fine Italian cuisine. I recommend the scallops and risotto if you feel like splurging!
Overall an underwhelming meal. Service great, food not so much. Cold Antipasti quite good, Calamari not at all. Ricotta Ravioli with Meatball and Marinara - Pasta tasted like it was made last week, meatball had good flavor and the marinara was not good at all. Overall an underwhelming meal. Pesto Ravioli was bland. The bread was very good.
Jasmine offered incredible service and our food was absolutely delicious. My new favorite spot in Appleton! Can't wait to come back and try some of the desserts next time ?
Could not have been more impressed! Amazing atmosphere and service (one of the most helpful servers I have ever had at a restaurant), but the food was out of this world. Hands down the BEST food I have ever had... My wife and I went last Friday night. She ordered the chicken marsala which was cooked to perfection and the flavors were amazing. I ordered their special for the night which was a pork chop with a side of pasta in a white wine garlic sauce, and I am STILL thinking about how good that pork chop was! I couldn't recommend Carmella's more. My only regret is we forgot to take pictures ?
First time ever eating at Carmella’s and I must say, it was truly the BEST! Brian was our server and he did such an amazing job. He was knowledgeable, and did a great job spacing out everything that we didn’t feel rushed at all. Would 110% recommend to anyone who wants real, refreshing food and the best service in the area!
