Very cute place to grab breakfast! The atmosphere is cozy and the food was delicious. They appeared to have a lot of vegetarian options which were clearly marked. Definitely recommend the coffee advertised at the bottom of the menu (the name escapes me) but absolutely delicious iced! +10 points for the metal straw!
Authors is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Fox Valley… food is always awesome. I also have to say that we have such great service every time we are there, everyone is so nice and welcoming!We usually get their empanadas to start, they have rotating flavors along with a a chicken one that they serve all the time, and no matter what the variety is that day they are always delish! Each empanada comes with a dipping sauce and their chimichurri aioli really adds to them… this sauce would be good on so many things! My my kids usually go for the pancakes and clean their plates! My favorites menu items are the salmon sashimi (seriously so insanely good), chicken Parmesan, huevos rancheros and the tomato soup (to die for). Honestly, their entire menu is great!! Also, the floral mimosa is also a favorite… I love champagne but don’t really love OJ, so their take on this drink is ideal for me!
The food and staff are amazing! Tonight we we indulged in the small plate shareables! Would highly recommend trying their brunch as well.
Author’s is so cute and cozy! I absolutely love the decor and environment. The food is amazing! The bread pudding was absolutely delicious (not pictured) The empanadas are so good, the pastry is perfectly flaky and delicious. We got a lot of different things at lunch and everything was so good. Highly recommend!
Easily one of the best spots in Appleton. I'm surprised the chef is Argentinian, he definitely does a good job blending the cuisine with Midwest palates. I'd love to come back. @dietproof
Great service, cozy atmosphere, and excellent food! Best lunch in Appleton!My husband declared this is the BEST sushi-salmon in the Valley and will come here next time he’s wanting sushi! The crispy rice was a fun twist too!The Burrata starter was fresh and flavorful!We split the Shrimp Scampi Risotto, and it was a perfect portion for enjoying our own starter dishes.
Went in for the first time for lunch on a Tuesday at 1145am. We sat down right away. The waitress was one of the best and kindest people we ever had at a restaurant. Our order came out perfect and so did our to go order. In the restaurant we had Eggs Benedict and gnocchi. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out hot. Our to go order was 8 empanadas a beet salad and tomato soup. The chicken empanadas were phenomenal and so was the soup and salad. I would definitely stop in for lunch or dinner. If I could give 8 stars I would. You will not be disappointed here in the food or the portion sizes.
Did not know they were open for brunch. Thankfully Google maps told us. This was a great experience. Erin took great care of us. We had the salmon sashimi, salmon BLA and meatloaf sandwich. Sandwiches came with the most amazing white chicken chili.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in the Fox Valley and my 2 all time. When you think of a spot on menu, this place won't disappoint you. If I could give it a higher rating I would.. I had the chicken Parmesan and my wife had the gnocchi and was amazing. Amazing job CHEFS!!
