I’ve been eating lunch there a few times a week for years. It’s one of my favorite places in Parkersburg. My favorite is the meatloaf but the tomato soup and grilled cheese are a close second. The pie is also great. Most things in the menu are 7-10 bucks. It usually takes about 10 minutes to get your food. I strongly recommend the corner cafe for anyone downtown Parkersburg especially on a Monday :)
Well if I could give no stars, I would have. Horrible service with attitudes. Wants to give you hashbrowns without your undercooked eggs and has the nerve to tell you they took it off your bill..I sure hope so. Had to go eat chik fila afterwards. Then see a man walk out of the kitchen with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Even WV has State health codes that you failed.
Always have great food, daily specials, reasonable prices, good service.

Food was great, service was great, everything was perfect! The server was really nice & she knows what she’s doing. We’ll definitely come back again for breakfast! :)
We have always enjoyed eating here . Today we ordered veg soup and grilled cheese . Was surprised at the price of the grilled cheese it was more than the veg soup .Veg soup 5.99 and grilled cheese 6.99. Asked our waitress about it and she said that price for the grilled cheese was a meal . So 5.99 for soup and 6.99 for grilled cheese . Seemed to be a little high . Probably be our last visit .

Don’t blink, because you probably missed it! This café is right on the corner of and Street across from sheets in downtown Parkersburg and right by Matheny motors. If you have ever been to pointe Park you’ve passed right by this gem! Though it has a modern look this particular spot is chock-full of history and it’s written all over their walls. The food is everything you would expect from home town café… dependable and delicious! He probably also never heard of this place because they don’t advertise a lot and they don’t have to they’re local following is pretty large with loyal customers.This is the kind of place you go and order “over medium eggs” and they know exactly how to cook them every single time, perfectly. Their BLTs are incredible and their homemade pies are unbelievable.Pay special attention to the specials menu because every one of them is exactly as stated: special.Today we came for breakfast, as always, literally everything was perfect… and again, as always, everything came out quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend their loaded potatoes.I have included photos of the store hours as well as the menu. As a bonus I’ve included some of the photos of the building and its historic evolution! I went to Corner Cafe with my dad for lunch yesterday and the first thing I noticed was how good the food smelled, the tables were clean, and the staff were nice. I will definitely be back!
