Guess the best way to put it would be underwhelming. I'd been really stoked to go, and my BIL went with me, and was really looking forward to trying several bourbons that you can't find in the area. First, it took several minutes for someone to realize we were there, and seat us. Wanted to try a Weller flight, put the order in, and waited. Probably 15-20 min later a lady came out who I assume was some sort of manager and told us that the Morgantown location didn't do that one, and when I inquired why she said the online bourbon menu showed Ashland, KY, even though if you look and pull both up they're different, including some of the prices. So we got a Weller Cask Strength and EH Taylor Small Batch which were both good. Ordered the filet cutlets and my BIL the salmon. They came out with dishes, set mine down, then another employee came along and said something and they picked mine back up. Eventually we got our entrees about 15 min later, probably 45-50 min after we had originally ordered. On a positive note, the food WAS good. Our server Dez did a good job too, especially considering he was also the bartender.

This was not a good experience. We've been wanting to eat here and had a gift card. We'd tried a couple weeks ago and they were only offering buffet, now they have an incredibly limited menu so we wanted to use our gift card before something happened (like them closing for good). On a Saturday night at 5:30, the place was almost empty which was not a good sign. We each ordered steak. I ordered the filet medallions medium and something told me I should have said medium rare... well I probably should have said rare. They were so overcooked and inconsistent. I maybe had one bite that wasn't a well done bite. We saw our server when they dropped off our meals and then again when they brought everything that was forgotten the first time and at the end. We received no refills and no check ups. Our bill was $83 and for the quality of the food and service shouldn't have been more than $40. We would have had better steaks, service, and an overall experience at any chain restaurant. We held this place to a higher standard and were so disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful but the food and service needs serious attention. We should have read more recent reviews before trying to have a nice dinner out. A lot of work needs done or this place won't make it until fall.

Was there a year ago and it was great, today couldn’t of been more opposite! Food was ok, cheese wasn’t melted in our crab nachos. This is a large restaurant and you have 5 entrees and two appetizers. Disappointed in our Mothers Day Dinner!

Our food was delicious! Incredible hospitality! Slightly disappointed in the limited menu, as we chose to dine for some of the dishes on the former menu. All in all, a wonderful experience.

the food was great the price was great the drinks and the staff was wonderful I'd come back again.

I’ll start off with the good parts. Nice atmosphere and well designed restaurant. Based on past reviews, it looks like they improved their service or at least our server was very nice but it seemed like he had one or two too many tables. Bottomless salad was probably the best dish due to the delicious bacon that they generously add to it. Caesar salad was decent but a little in the tart side. Baked potato side (not the loaded premium side) was also very good and cooked perfectly. This is where management needs to read all the other reviews. I was hoping they would have improved in this area but nothing has changed. Do not come here if you want a correctly cooked piece of steak. Most of us ordered the surf n turf dishes with either scallops, shrimp, or salmon and it comes with two 4oz filet medallions. Two orders were rare and they came out medium well. Two orders were medium and they came out super well done, tough, and not pleasant to eat (see picture). Salmon was also overcooked. I’m not sure if they just don’t have the freshest cut of meat and fish and that’s why everything is so overcooked. Even though most of the items were overcooked, everything else in the plates came out cold. Cold steaks probably due to their tiny size but salmon and fries were cold too. But it was disappointing to pay $20+ dollars for a meal where the best part was just the salad. We also got there at 7pm, didn’t order any appetizers but didn’t get served our meals until 8:15pm. That’s a long time to wait. We all finished two salad servings because we were so hungry. We could have probably all eaten three salads but our server was so busy and didn’t make it back to the table that often. This could be a good place but they need to work on improving the back kitchen management.

Staying at hotel and tried The Winchester for dinner. Streak was cooked perfect and cuts were high quality. Salmon was thick and also cooked perfect. The side salad is endless with huge cuts of bacon and a delicious house dressing. Garlic green beans were seasoned very well. Happy hour on drinks from 3-6pm. Definitely a delicious meal and a place I'd recommend to anyone.

Austin was the bartender the night we visited. He was so warm, friendly and efficient - definitely added to our enjoyment. Drinks were great and the food far exceeded our expectations. The salmon was absolutely delicious. Steak was good and we were offered complimentary hush puppies which were a new food for us - yummy! If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, there is certainly no reason to venture further. If you aren't, this place will beat most in the area.

We had reservations on a Saturday night Valentine’s Day weekend..going into the night knowing that the restaurant could be pretty packed we were excepting a wait which is completely fine. Getting to the restaurant we were told that there weren’t many tables available and that we would need to wait, which again perfectly understandable on a holiday weekend, but looking around the dining room wasn’t even half full? My boyfriend and I waited at the bar and it took ten minutes for someone to ask if we wanted a drink and then another 30 minutes to get a glass of wine. Our server took forever to get to our table and when she arrived was cold and short, following when our food and drinks arrived there were multiple mistakes that could have been overlooked if there was a better attitude from our server or better yet no attitude at all! The food was mediocre at best and definitely not good enough to make up for terrible service..we will not be returning.

A waitress & waiter got into a verbal altercation while we were eating. The food was not even mediocre. The steak was ordered medium rare and arrived well done. The cajun shrimp pasta had no 'cajun' flavor at all.
