I was searching for an hour and couldn't make up my mind what to eat. Then I seen Nonno Carlo, I love sandwiches and Italian is always my fav. I was well greeted and told them of my love for sandwiches. Almost picked the meatball but she suggested I could do better so I went with the Italiano and it was amazingly fresh toasted perfectly. The thick cut chips had the perfect crunch. Definitely coming back here!!!!!
Excellent food at a great price!!
Got the Italiano Sandwich. Excellent!!!!Very high quality authentic Italian meats.Very fast and friendly service. The homemade chips were great too. Will Definitely come back.
Hands down the best pizza in Morgantown, wood fired, high quality ingredients amazing pie!!
I can't find anything wrong with this place. From being greeted warmly by Nick, to the delicious sandwiches on fresh focaccia, to the quaint artifacts, pictures, and mini-market with goods from Italy...it's my go-to place when I want a meal that tastes like love is one of the ingredients. I can't go to Suncrest Towne Centre without stopping in. It's officially one of my favorite places.
!Warning! All style, no substance! We saw this place while getting Jimmy johns one night and decided to try it the next day… terrible decision.Firstly, it’s overpriced as all get out! They want $15 for a multipack of San Pellegrino when you get that same product at the Kroger 50ft down the parking lot for $10 or less. San Pellegrino is as Italian as my converse shoes. All the food was overpriced as well.Secondly, the service… they are nice enough but can’t follow directions at all. We preordered the pizza before we arrived so it would be ready at the same time as the sandwiches that we ordered in their location on arrival… they forgot that they already gave us the pizza and so we ended up sitting around waiting forever… for 2 sandwiches. Also, I asked for my FRESH basil to be put on AFTER my pizza was cooked. Well, the basil was dark green, if not black… so they either put it on before they cooked it or it’s not fresh. Either way, malarky.Lastly, the food was less than mediocre. I’d rather have the Jimmy Johns which is also cheaper. This place is suppose to be “authentic” Italian food… well, they don’t even know what the flag must look like because a margarita pizza is suppose to resemble the Italian flag. Red, white and green… I got slightly orange, yellow and greenish/black. My pizza was burned all the way around… there was hardly ANY red sauce on it at all, and if it was fresh mozzarella at one point, it wasn’t anymore by the time it made it onto my pizza. You’re suppose to put it on the pizza in large slices so you can see the white of the cheese… it tasted like bread, no flavor at all.We got sandwiches too… I don’t have anything more to say then underwhelming and expensive.Overall, not good location. I don’t think people know what good food is anymore… if they ever knew to begin with.I can cook better Italian food with a roll of pillsbury pizza dough and canned sauce.Always read the negative reviews of any product, service, or location. The high reviews are always by ignorant people.Owners, if you think I’m full of it… invite me to cook for you and it will be better, I can promise you that… and you can pay me $50
The meatball sub was close enough to my Italian grandmother's sauce that it made me feel like a kid at her table again. (I'm nearly 40)The chips are possibly the best I have ever had. Cut thick, but not hard like a kettle chip while still crunchy and delicate. Perfection. 5 stars earned.
We came in to pick up takeout, but my 3yr-old son wanted to sit at a table (we haven’t really been in many places or restaurants due to covid). The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and I appreciated their willingness to interact with an excited toddler. The owner came over and talked with him, and had asked if he liked Mickey. He asked us to wait a minute, and I assumed maybe he had a Mickey sticker or something. He came back with a small Mickey-shaped pizza! All the food was very good! The house made chips were a pleasant surprise: arguably the best I’ve ever had! The food was great, but the customer service was top notch! We will be talking about that Mickey pizza for a long time! It was a wonderful reminder of just how important it is to support amazing local businesses like this. Thank you!
Can’t review anything besides the deli section, but the selection of meats and cheeses was probably the best in Morgantown for niche Italian items. Was busy (probably a good sign), but they still took their time with packaging the meats correctly and wasn’t too much of a wait. I will be back again!
Awesome service! Amazing staff! Highly recommend the margherita pizza and the hot Italian sausage and peppers sammy! Will be returning often!
