Lake House has a really great menu and really friendly staff. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. I was sat and after about 10 minutes a server saw my wife and I weren’t attended to, ran over and said “No one came to see you so I’ll just swoop in here”. After that our drinks never went empty…by the time we finished a plate we were offered something else…We’ve been before but I have to say this is the best experience I’ve had.
HORRIBLE SERVICE AND LACK OF KNOWLEDGE REGARDING HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS!!!My husband and I went to the Lakehouse on Sunday 6/26 at 3 pm. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait went to the bar and ordered 2 " well" drinks the bartender said they were maybe$ 6. We were then seated in the indoor dining area. We waited another 10 minutes there was a table on our left and one on the right they were paying and leaving. The waiter never made eye contact with us.My husband went and asked the hostess when we were getting waited on. She asked where we were seated. He asked if we came at a bad time her response was " yes" he then asked for a manager she said we don't have one. We decided to leave. Will never be back.Drove to Longhorn Steakhouse. Service and professionalism was incredible.
We had a very nice dinner here on a Monday night. The view is nice and the menu has some flexibility to appeal to various tastes. I tried the lobster bisque ( decent, not great) and the seafood pasta with mussels, shrimp and scallops (really good flavors and generous with the seafood). My wife had the crab cakes, which again was decent, but not great. Service was very attentive and friendly (thanks Emma). Prices are reasonable, especially since bread, veggies and salad are included in the entree price. This is a nice restaurant overall.
Great location, lots of flies (I mean, they’re on the lake, so I guess that’s to be expected), The Bang Bang Shrimp was AMAZING, but the entrees took us downhill. Mom and I ordered the crab cakes thinking that the proximity to Maryland and the fact that this place is supposed to be known for them would mean they’d be really good. They were just ok. I’ve had better in land-locked Colorado, to be honest. Dad ordered a steak that was overcooked. We didn’t bother with dessert. I gave three stars for the location and the service. We were our server’s first table on her own, and she did very well! We never felt forgotten, and despite it getting busy for her, she was extremely attentive. I would definitely come back here, but mainly for sunset views or something, and I won’t have high expectations of the food. Maybe it was just an off night? Note: we came here because Tropics was closed.
Really good!I honestly don't know what some other reviews are talking about; the prices are right on the menu with a very few "market price" items, but that is pretty common. Also the service was great and very attentive.Good food, nice atmosphere and friendly people. We will definitely be going back when we're in the area.
Food was good. The service was horrendous. Waitress got several orders wrong, wait time from being seated to ordering was excessive, not even water being brought. It was not very busy, the waitress was just not good at her job.She would also makes jokes about getting the orders wrong. Two of our party asked for flatwear to eat their food, it was never brought. So I went and took some off another table and the waitress came over and said she was going to bring it.Awful, awful service.
Met up for my daughter's fiancee graduation we had a big party as well . The place was really busy with bigger groups . Our server was really energetic and cheery older lady , she actually had a very unhappy table next to us and the moment we sat down they started complaining loudly .They were rude the entire time until we left. I felt pretty bad for her having to deal with them we could actually hear them complaining about anything even the duck waste on the deck. Our table had a nice tim. Everything we ordered was good , appetizers came out quick , she recommended the spinach artichoke dip , bruschetta and calamari and boy was it good and enough for our group! The salads and soups came out next and then we waited a good 35-40 minutes for our food to come out next. She was bringing out bread and and very apologetic about our wait times. Some of us didn't want to sit around waiting listening to her other table constantly complaining about those same things. Our food arrived and it was tasty, Salmon and Crab cakes were great, cooked perfectly she also recommended the double baked potato, very good. It would have been nice to have some more affordable choices on the graduation menu and not have a 400 bill but over all I will still recommend and still come back when visiting them, look forward to enjoying other items off the regular menu.
Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. Solid food and drink menu. Food was delicious! I am not a salad person but the spinach salad with their dressing was delicious. Salmon with brown sugar spread was excellent as well. The boat launch and peirs next to the restaurant add to the atmosphere.
This place indoor and outdoor seating on the lake. Great atmosphere in the summer. The food was very good but a little pricey depending on what you order. I ordered the 8oz filet that cost me $50. This is the price of a high end steak house, which this was not. Don't get me wrong, the steak was very good and cooked perfect but $50 is steep. I have to eat gluten free and the waitress was very knowledgeable about what i could order and what could be adjusted. There is nothing marked on the menu as gluten free which i wish they would change to make it easier to order but they prepared my steak gluten free and we also order the Bang Bang shrimp gluten free (they used gluten free panko crumbs). Everything was very good.
Awesome atmosphere inside & spectacular views of lake & sunset outside! Food is always delicious, and staff is fun, friendly & on point. Absolutely best wings around.
