Today was a long day, the wife worked 16 hrs for a local cab Company after working 12 for fedex. She came home wanting to eat and she wanted to go to Hoss because I told her it was good.We arrived about 8pm, the parking lot was near empty that was a bad sign. the hostess was a young sweet girl , I even cracked a joke and she took us us to our table keeping mind she seemed to know I had a hard time walking , she sat us close to everything. We sat and ordered n we went to the sald bar, the sald bar was near empty, everything looked like it was left over from the day before. I said something to the hostess n she got right on it, she looked over the sald bar her self and had them fill n top off what needed to be. She was pleasant and fast in doing so. The crew that came out had on no gloves , she added things on top of the old food and did not change out any pans. The other kid he just added stuff the nacho bar on top of the old empty pans that looked to be sitting there for awhile. The food we ordered was hot n cold my chopped steak was hot but my mashed potatoes were Luke warm n had a foul taste to them. With tip we spent 60 dollars, the whole meal was about 53 dollars. We would have been better off going to McDonald's.Another thing when your sitting at there tables be mindful of what you say the staff listens to your conversation I guess they would rather listen to your personal issues rather then do there jobs. This is by far the worst review I've had written.
It has changed in the many years I have been here to eat. The salad bar is more than enough to fill up on.The French onion soup was yummy, as the chicken noodle was a pot full of juice and I brought that to their attention. Good bread, great spread of salad bar, desserts, and vanilla ice cream.? ?Nice meal and pleasant waitresses.
Stopped here to eat Friday, April 8, 2022. Will definitely be the last time.Wilted lettuce, pickled eggs looked like they were there soaking for days, the hard boiled boiled eggs were watery. Had to ask for croutons. There were no rolls, only bread so I took a peice but it was so stale couldn't eat it. Asked for more, and they warmed up 3 more stale peices and put out. The steak was so tough couldn't eat it. Went up to get dessert and not kidding, EVERYTHING was empty except the pudding. So I was gonna get ice cream. Well there was no ice cream bowls! There was 5 adults and one child in our party. The baby got sick and was throwing up before we left the restaurant. My husband got sick on our way home and I was throwing up shortly after we got home! We all ate off the salad bar so I'm assuming that's what made us so sick so fast! Never again! I'm just trying to warn others. This use to be my favorite place!
Very disappointed the price you pay you don’t get nothing. The lettuce was stocked on salad bar but went up for seconds and it was empty. No soup bowls! I ordered 6oz sirloin fries and salad bar for 19.00 bucks I went to Texas Roadhouse last week got a salad fries and a 16oz sirloin and rolls for basically the same price and got more food

Food ordered:Crispy chicken sandwichBurgerChild's hotdogSalad barChicken sandwich was really dry. Couldn't make it though the full sandwich.Burger was ordered well done. Came out medium. Pregnant wife couldn't eat it. Sent it back and just had them take it off the bill.Hotdog was good. Child ate the whole thing.Fries that came with every meal were good. Also had some good BBQ sauce.Service was average. They took care of the burger issue which was great. Biggest complaint there is that no plates or cups were removed from the table until we were finished. Made for a cluttered table.Biggest positive is the salad bar. In a time where buffets are closed, it was nice to be able to use the salad bar.The bad definitely outweighs the good in this experience that is why they only get 2*.
This used to be a great place to eat, but I won't be going back after my last visit. I had a chicken entree with stuffing. The stuffing was burnt and the chicken was undercooked. Just about the entire salad bar had rotting food in it. I was amazed they allowed the salad bar to get to that point. The only good thing was dessert, and that was just ok. I really recommend going somewhere else to eat.
Even though they were extremely busy with having a bus and short staffed the food was hot & salad bar stocked. Our waitress was very nice. Although she did check her cell phone & text between waiting tables. We had about a 15 minute wait. I told them I'll be glad to help bus tables. Old waitress habits never die lol
Bad experience entirely. The food wasn't great. I got served a rare steak not a medium rare steak. I had to bring it home to cook it. The salad bar was missing items. The waitress only began appearing as the restaurant was getting ready to close. Like she was anxious to get rid of us.
I normally I have a good experience at Hoss. I normally go to the one in Gettysburg but I was attending an event there. The wait staff was friendly but they were short staff half of our orders were lost. So our party didn't eat together. The orders all wrong and not cooked correctly. The portions seemed very small. I don't recall them being that small and the prices seemed more then last time I was there. I would still go back but to my normal location
