I was there in the early afternoon and there was a fair amount of patrons. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. I had the chicken nachos and the chicken was excellent. It had a great char grilled taste to it and there was tons of it on the nachos. The portions were all huge and none of us could finish all of it. The seating area is basic but I wasn't expecting anything else, especially for the prices. We all agreed that this was a great choice and would definitely go back.
Man, I hate to do this but this is not the Habanero I remember. It had been quite some time since I went there. Husband requested it today while I was out and was conveniently across the street at Blue White Grill. To start, the lady making my order could not have been more displeased by my presence. While she wasn’t outright rude, she was absolutely annoyed. I had a simple order (steak bowl, no special requests) and only asked three questions (can I do a bowl or just a burrito, can I have veggies too, and do you have cilantro). I couldn’t see any of the food or the various toppings, which is perfectly fine, but I wouldn’t have had to ask and “inconvenience” her. I even tried being nice and making a little small talk and no response. There were 4 people eating and only me in line, so it wasn’t like they were slammed and I was being that annoying customer asking a few questions while trying to order. The younger gentleman working seemed a little more pleasant - thanking me for coming in and for my order. The queso is what I remember. It’s so cheesy! It’s also not spicy so that’s why I like it (the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review). Some may not like it because it’s a little different than the typical Mexican restaurant queso. It’s not as white and not spicy. However, for an order of chips and queso, it was 8.50. I about died. I’m not sure if she charged me incorrectly but the chips don’t come with the queso, according to how she entered it, so it was 5 for queso and 3.50 for a moderately small bag of chips.Husband reported the bowl was “just ok.” Steak was very dry and old looking, and I got there 20 minutes after opening, and delivered to him within 15 minutes. For $20 for a burrito bowl and chips and queso, I’m not sure I will be returning. I want to support local businesses, especially in times like this, but food and service can’t be that subpar. I’m honestly more likely to come back when the service is friendly and good vibes even if the food is just alright.
Was here for lunch on a Saturday. Short line for food. The place is very spacious and open. Nothing fancy. Generic tables and metal chairs. You order at the counter and they prep your food in front of you not unlike a Chipotle. Staff were very friendly. I ordered the regular chicken burrito. Also got chips and queso. I wanted guac but surprisingly they were out of it. The burrito is one of those big fat “pillow” type. The dude waiting on me did a great job packing it all in there and keeping the burrito nice and tight. A lot of times I get something similar at Chipotle and it’s always falling apart. Price was reasonable. Total was around $13. They say they make everything from scratch and everything certainly tasted fresh. The chicken had a good flavor. It was a little dry I thought even though I had them add pico de gallo and sour cream. I think they probably use too much rice too. Easily could’ve cut the portion of rice down in half. But all in all it’s a decent burrito. The queso was very good.
Run, don't walk to Habeneros! This place is the real deal!!! They have not only the best nachos in the area but the best I've ever had! The queso is INCREDIBLE. Staff is great too. Prices are good and portions are very generous
The tacos and burritos are great. I still haven't been able to eat a regular burrito, I get full and save it for later.
The food tasted similar to Chipotle. Not a lot of flavor. The employees were less than friendly. Seemed annoyed we were there. Restaurant was clean.
Super yummy chorizo (Drier kind not greasy at all)! They say it's locally sourced and I believe it. Guys working were nice there too. Make sure and bring your appetite!
Dining room is cafeteria style, very plain and a little disheveled. I would've taken one look and walked right back out but since I was with my adult daughter and son-in-law and, at their recommendation my wife and I ate here. As it turns out, I ordered the steak quesadilla which was filling and very good. I would order it again.
Absolutely quick service with food time, and being placed at a table on a Saturday evening. Food was delicious and cheese dip was bomb. Would want to live here just for the great restaurant to be honest, yum!
Perhaps the sit down location is better, but their food truck was disappointing at best.
