Best take out for Chinese food around. Love it.
This Restaurant use to be 5 star, we pre-ordered today and the last 5 orders are tasteless.Fried rice is not fried just mushy and tasteless. The pork was white and not flavored with the hoisin sauce tasteless flavor. The egg rolls tasted like the were cooked 2x in oil. . I got a lot of push back from Miss lady. Waiting for manager.
Walked in and placed a order it was ready right Away. It was worth it. Enjoyed it
I’ll preface by saying I’m a regular customer to this establishment and have been for over 4 years. Tonight we ordered 4 dishes. 3 of the 4 were great as ordered but one was awful. The order in question was suppose to be General Tso’s Shrimp. What I ended up with was breaded shrimp with orange sauce. I ordered takeout so didn’t realize this until I was home. Upon discovering the issue, I promptly called and got argued with instead of correcting the order. The lady told me when I initially ordered that she couldn’t find it on the menu so she put it in as shrimp with orange sauce (I’m assuming with the intent to tell the kitchen General Tso’s but never did) but that the kitchen was told General Tsos Shrimp. I’m so disappointed because she refused to rectify it, told me she was too busy and that I got what I ordered. As you can see in the photos this is not so. So one of my family members ended up without a meal basically because this was half raw, overly sweet and just overall an epic fail. Please see attached photos.
Exactly what you'd expect from most Chinese take out places, except they are usually busy but still very friendly. Thank you!

Let me say that every establishment can have a bad day! I have preferred this restaurant over many others since I moved here approximately 5 years ago. This is my go to place! Even during the pandemic and my totals are always over $50 and that's before tax and delivery fees. OK with that said, I ordered food today and it was the worst! burnt noodles, I asked for little to no onions but got almost 1/2 carton full. Disappointed would be putting it mildly. The CUSTOMER The SERVICE was deplorable! The woman that answered my call actually called me a liar! I told her I had pictures, she told me that I had more than 4 shrimp and to her credit, after I dug through the pile of onions and burnt noodles I did find 6 more, but I let you be the judge, I took pictures. The employee told me to call the manager the next day and hung up the phone. I wasn't yelling, I just wanted reorder my food but make them aware. After my brief conversation with her (which included her talking to another employee about how long they have been in business) our call was disconnected. All I can say is this: The proof is in the pudding, look at my pictures and look at the website at a picture of the shrimp lo mien and you be the judge. A good relationship gone bad in one afternoon.
I gave them a two because it was fast and hot. I have never had such a hard time getting Chinese food delivered in Martinsburg. We have gotten food from China King before and it was fine not our favorite in the area but always quick and hot and no big complaint's. This time it was not good at all. My husband had beef with mixed vegetables like always there were three tiny pieces of beef and they were so tough. He never finishes a large order but this time the order was so small he ate it all. The vegetables were ok not fresh tasting like normal and he was hungry so he ate them. The sauce was pretty good at least. The rice had a chemical smell so I threw it away. There were lots of wontons in my soup but broth was way to salty. The egg rolls were light on pork but ok. This was not worth the almost fifty bucks I spent having to use Uber Eats. I live ona tight budget and we eat out or get delivery once a month. This months was a huge disappointment and a waste of fifty bucks.
This was our first time ordering from China King in Martinsburg. The food this Friday evening was excellent. Even the egg rolls were excellent. Will definitely buy there again.
Order took 30Mins long than the proposed 1 hour. Two items, that in ordered and paid for, were not included. I was then charged for two other items that I did not order and no one in my home will eat. The egg rolls were ice cold. The shrimp in the $10 shrimp and green beans were small salad shrimp. The boneless bbq ribs were not sauced, bland and fatty chunks of pork. The scallops and beef dish only had peppers and waterchesnut listed, but several other items, which I have allergies to, so that too was wasted. $70 for dinner and I have eaten nothing and the rest will be trash. What a waste.
