My sisters and I took our 89 year old aunt to this Applebee's for lunch today because she loves their french onion soup. The website and the sign on the door said that the restaurant opens at 11am, but it did not. We waited. We knocked on the door and on the windows. We could see someone walking around inside, but the doors were locked. and no one responded. After waiting almost 15 minutes, we left and took our business to another restaurant. At least three other parties were also waiting, and they, too, eventually left. If the restaurant has changed its hours or if they didn't have enough staff to open on time, they should have posted a sign on the door rather than let potential customers (several of whom were elderly) wait in the parking lot.
Its not the fault of the waiting staff but this location is constantly understaffed to the point where they almost never answer their phone and take-out service only seems to be sporadically available. Additionally, the website is perpetually broken. Half the time you can't place an order when the restaurant is open and even when you can the menu options you use to customize items are frequently wrong or incomplete.
Revisited this Applebees as it is close to our home. First, it was not overly crowded so that was niceThe service was more than adequate as our server was on point. The food that we got was cooked properly and hot when it arrived at the table. All items arrived as ordered.Pricing was on par with most places in our area.If you find my reviews useful, please like by clicking the thumbs up icon at the bottom labeled “helpful”. First time to Applebee's ever with my girlfriend. Had about a 10-15min wait but that wasnt bad at all. Wasnt that impressed by the waitress, she didnt seem to really show the kind of customer service a resturaunt should have, however everyone else who brought us food was very kind and offered us nice suggestions since it was our first time. The food was EXCELLENT and the dessert was mouth watering! Definitely impressed, the waitress is the only reason I didnt rate a 5 stars.
Pretty busy when we went with a party of four. Got seated near the windows in the side area of the dining room. It was much colder than the normal area. Food was okay nothing spectacular, the bowls are worth it, good portion in them. Prob won’t come again though.
Applebee's not up to standard, chicken overdone, didn't have 2 different beers we asked for, server leaned on wall/sill to take order, sat in next booth to take order from table across from there. We asked for a box but he sat talking to that table at least 10 minutes before leaving. Stopped by 2 other tables before walking by and I asked if we could have the check. About 8-8:30 pm.
Great service and food is awesome. Everyone is very friendly and helpful when it comes to picking out the right dish. Highly recommended
Waitress was adequate. Ordered a chicken bowl that was supposed to have seasoned rice on bottom. Did Not. Waitress gave us a discount and brought rice to go.
My family and I love Applebees unfortunately the location by our house closed. So we now go to Frederick, Md. or the location here in Martinsburg. The service was great but a few of the food items were wrong. All in all still a good experience.
Had lunch there today. Arrived at 11am when the restaurant opened. Very few customers at that time. A family of 4 with two small children that misbehaved was seated directly behind me. There were plenty of empty tables where they could have been seated away from other customers trying to enjoy their meal. This made my visit unenjoyable.
