I have never been in downtown Huntington, but at the recommendation of the front desk of my hotel I checked out The Peddler. In my 15+ years of traveling for business I have never experienced a cooler place. They brew their own beer, good beer at that, check…. Dive bar food with high culinary standards (duck fat fries? GTFOH!!!), check…. Phenomenal customer service (and the owners let you buy the staff a beer, at which point the kitchen and servers serenade you with a happy dance), check. Phenomenal pub!
First time visiting here! Had a great experience..great food..good atmosphere. Highly recommend!?
Great beer and the best burger I’ve had in a long time! Awesome craft brews to go along with a great selection of food items!
We went on a Saturday night so we expected a wait. We go inside and we're told it would be a 2 hr wait. I really didn't care because I was wanting a really good burger. We got lucky and got 2 seats at the bar. I got the Big Texas. When I tell you that was when of the best hamburgers I've had in a long time and the truffle fries were awesome too!!!! Staff was just ok, but the food made up for it. This definitely won't be my last time eating here. If you're looking for a great burger you for sure have to check this place out.
Our server Kristen on Saturday night was the absolute best!!!! We will be back and her service and knowledge was the tops!!! She made us feel right at home!
I have been there two times and it has been amazing. Menu is kind of small but a big selection of good house made brew. My go to spot when I'm in htown. Plus the lady that took care of us was super nice. We left about 8pm 1/27/22.
This was my second visit to The Peddler and this time I brought along the wife and kid. I originally made this a must-stop as I tend to check out breweries when I travel, but the reason for coming back was as much for the food as it was the fine brews they create.The service was awesome as always and everyone enjoyed their food. My wife and I sampled several of the beers and were happy with everything that came in our two flights. We ranked all of the sours we tried high, and Sweater Weather was by far my favorite.They have an arcade upstairs as well, though I have yet to visit. Will do that next time I come through the area.
One of the best burger places around. Their burgers is very good quality and fun ideas their Mac n cheese with lobster is excellent. Highly recommend visiting the peddler if you are in town, the food is great the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is inviting
Wife wanted to try something different, as another family recommended The Peddler. + Quick service from a friendly server, she knew her menu and was very polite - Cheese curds are unique-first and last time. Got what looked like 10 giant hushpuppies or fried golf balls, 2 had no cheese inside, the others were 1/4 full of cheese, just mainly crispy dough and air. Sadly, these set the tone for my wife tonight. + Nitro Root Beer is made there, tasty and frothy. I am a root beer fan and theirs is my top 3 around the world. + Fish and Chips were solid with good flavor, oil seemed a little burnt. Two fisted sized hunks of fish. - Asked for upgrade to truffle fries, I did not taste any truffle oil or parmesan even. I confirmed the order after they arrived too. Hoping it was an ordering error and not meant to be truly truffle fries. The shoestring size of the fries probably does not soak up much duck fat, could not taste it. Was hoping this was going to be a highlight for me, disappointed. - / + Wife got the Chuck Norris chili, menu clearly says "roasted jalapenos" and she thought about not getting it....but she did. It was too hot for her, so I will be excited to try it for lunch. I am even wimpier with the old Scoville scale but the ingredients look top notch with brisket, chuck and short rib. Potential winner here! + mixed drink was made to order, swift and excellent taste. Asked what shelf of liquor I wanted, a plus. + The knowledgeable server offered me a different high top chair after I stood because my feet went to sleep on the very short chair. She said they were replacing the table chairs with newer chairs at the bar with longer seats. We expedited our departure after a table of 8-10 young college guys sat down beside us, COVID freak out from Mrs. Try The Peddler!!
