Great night!!! Good company and experience
We come here every Christmas with my work party and my favorite part has always been the crab cakes. I took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore because they were really fishy and looked different. I have had many crab cakes and these have always been my favorite. My coworker and I were talking about the party and she said the same thing about the crab cakes.
I was so looking forward to eating at Savannahs Resturant. I was dinning alone and thought i would treat myself. There was noone in the resturant when I arrived. There were only 4 entres listed on the menu, I assumed there would be at least one daily special. I ordered the crab cakes because they came with brussel sprouts which i love and a crab bisque soup. Unfortunately the crab cakes were burnt and the soup was overwelmed with Cumin spice, not a good combination. I was at the resturant for two full hours. Much of which was waiting for my waitress to return to my table. The best part of my meal was the bread. If you advertise Fine dinning I would recommend the staff have some culinary training. The menu is overpriced for the quality. I did give the meal to a homeless person so at least one good thing came out of a very disappointing evening. I had such high expectations.
The service is great and the food is really good!The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because they were out of so many items on the menu on this particular evening. (4 items on the night of our visit including crab cakes, salad, pasta dish, and dessert)At the same time -We were so glad to visit a restaurant in the area where they take care of the table and anything taken home is actually boxed up for the customer. This action is lovely in comparison to being handed a take home container.Also, being allowed to sample the wine before the full pour is another great touch to the dining experience.Finally, I do wish that the portion size of the Chicken Oscar was a touch larger considering the price. Still, it was super yummy!
Outstanding service and atmosphere. Great food, ample parking and nice location.
5 stars hands down. Place is amazing. The filet and eggs benedict are best I have ever had. I don't mine paying the price for food this good.
If you like over paying for small portions and mediocre food to make yourself feel bougie then this is the place for you. Highway robbery.
