It was a surprise to my wife and I that Roosters was that "far" South. We thought it was an Ohio only restaurant. It was nice to see something that we loved. The staff was all friendly and happy, the food was amazing as always. Still kind of weird being in a Roosters and not seeing anything Ohio State on the walls. If we are ever in Huntington again we will go back.
I got take from there and normally I love the food there but I don't know what happened in the kitchen this time.... The wings were like chewing on rubber!! The chicken inside was done but the outside of the chicken wasn't... The oil must have either been old or not at the right temperature.. anyway it was disgusting!! Which makes a person not want to eat another piece of chicken ever again! Really gross ???. So sad cause I really loved that spot..
I had a wonderful meal and the food was great. Is my server was excellent. I think her name was Jalen. I would highly recommend this place!
For the cost of food? It's a shame it comes out cold! And there are plenty of waitresses there. So food should never be cold. If I ever eat here again? And it comes out cold? I'll get up and walk out! Promise the food was nasty cold! Ridiculous
The food was great. I ordered a salad and it was the best salad I've had in a very long time. There was 15 of us and everything was pleasant. They were very prompt on seating us.
Roosters was a pleasant surprise, especially if you are looking for wings! I was expecting Hooters-esque wings, small and over-cooked. Roosters wings are big o' things and perfectly cooked. Fully recommend for any wings fans!
First off, bartender Britney was top notch. Didn't have to be fake and overly friendly, she just hustled and was on top of it, didn't see any other customers waiting long for anything. The WINGS. Sampled both boneless and traditional. Both were delicious. Normally boneless is like a fried ball of chicken breast but these were like they did a Harry Potter spell to remove the bone from an actual wing. Prices were great. Yuingling on tap. Nuff said.
My first visit and it was a hit. The biggest meatiest wings ever. We got 20 to share and brought 14 home. The best hands down. You gotta try it.
Bigger boneless wings than B-Dubs. Over all better food. Having worked in roosters in Columbus and Chillicothe, I can tell you, none of the chicken is frozen. The tenders are pounded and breaded right on the line as you order them. The wings are breaded as you order them and fried. The potato skins are made on site with fresh potatoes. The burgers are fresh ground beef. A great place to pass time, sit and drink, watch sports, whatever you want.
I get wings from Rooster's quite often. I purchased a 20 piece for myself and BF a 10 piece for my dad. Those were the WORSE wings I ever had from this establishment and I drive to Huntington from Ashland because the wings are usually good. I don't know what was up this night (9/24/21) but sheesh ??. Idk if I can trust them again lol
