Since G D Ritzy's is the best ice cream ever, and since they do serve other food and since we were going to be within 30 minutes of the Huntington, WV store after driving from Springfield, Ohio, we decided to drive the extra 28 miles and get something to eat and ice cream. I lived in Columbus, Ohio for years and it was a staple at our house. We would purchase ice cream in the big tubs that they keep in the freezer. This is the closest one to Springfield. We got there at 8:30 and they were CLOSED, even tho the website for this particular store says they were open until 10. There were several employees outside hanging out and using skateboards, and when we mentioned to them that their website says 10 pm, one particular kid said "we are only allowed to update the website once a year. Since we are a franchise, we can change the closing time whenever we want to". It was so disappointing. But, if I am ever in that area again, I will stop, only earlier.
Internet says they close at 7, but they won’t sell milkshakes from 6:40 on. So for someone wanting milkshakes, they close at 6:40. You’re either open until 7 or not. Customers aren’t concerned if you do or don’t get to walk out the door right at closing time. Also says they close at 4 on Saturdays- but they are closed at 3:10- turning people away.Always out of milk. I’ve been twice & both times they said they have to wait on a truck to bring milk.Also frequently out of Oreo Ice Cream.They dont answer the phone. (To check if they have things in stock or open) before driving from Ohio.They do have really good food & shakes when you can get it , but with new management the only positive change I’ve seen- is the building has been painted.
Food was fresh and employees were great very friendly. drive thur was fast and the young man who handed our food out was very pleasant and professional. thanks will be returning soon
Just stopped in and am not impressed at all. As another review stated the bun on the burger was cold like it hadn't been out of the refrigerator long and was really greasy. When I went up to get my order the girl giving it to us counted out three packets of ketchup for the fries and a guy I assume to be the manager told her to ask before handing out ketchup, to cheap to keep a bottle of the stuff on the table. The restroom wasn't really very clean and the paper towel dispenser was broken. The place is run down. But the girl taking our order was friendly.

Food isn't even close to what it used to be before the owner change. Staff isn't friendly. Only certain times you can order a milk shake in the drive through....I mean really? Just not worth the money or time I spent here. Bathrooms were dirty.
Great food! We placed our order at 7:30 last night not realizing they had closed. The worker who was still there made our food anyway! Glad he did - it was yummy!

Last time going back. This place is going down hill fast. Buns used to be warm with your burger. Ours was cold. Tomatoes on the burger with sliced thin on one in and super thick on the other end. Lettuce looked like it was old and was brown. Fries was kinda cold as well. Good luck if you go to this. I myself will not be back as a customer for over 10 years. See ya G.D. Ritzy's
Excellent Hot Ham and Cheese and Hot Buffalo Chicken Hoagie. Great Onion Rings and Cheese Sticks. Wonderful Vanilla Shake too!
