I’m honestly astonished at the reviews for this place. I rely on TripAdvisor a lot, but Fat Patty’s top rating makes no sense to me. 3 of us went for lunch on Sunday & all had mediocre bar food. I love pub food, simple stuff cooked well. But we had an over cooked burger, a sorry salad w dry/tasteless chicken & cheap dressing, & chintzy, bland French dip sandwich. Similar quality as I’d expect from a thruway stop, diner, food court, or Applebees. The pretzel app was good, the French onion soup was solid. Nothing was truly terrible, but this place is nothing more than a nondescript local sports bar, don’t go out of your way to visit. Service was really, really slow too, not that I cared much. Can’t recommend. Go to Roosters instead.
We went to Fat Patty's Sunday night. There was a basketball and a soccer tournament in town. Fat Patty's was also in the process of remodeling the restaurant. They were out of Pepsi and Sierra Mist which indicated to me the amount of business they had done over the weekend. Our server was delightful. I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich and hubby got the Cowboy Burger. Both were very greasy. In spite of that, I enjoyed my messy sandwich on a gluten-free bun. Hubby was not impressed with the burger which is disappointing give the name. The fries that came with both meals were pretty good. Not the best meal but I would be willing to try again when it is done with remodeling.
I absolutely love Fat Patty's! The food is great and the staff are friendly. This time I tried the Philly cheese steak hoagie and it was so good! And for my appetizer of course you gotta get the amazing bacon cheese fries! Definitely had a great experience this time and mostly everytime I go! Great place to eat and sit back and relax with the family or friends!
We were celebrating my son's highschool graduation. We had roughly 15 - 20 people eating. Our server was great. Very disappointed with the kitchen and decision making of management for using frozen patties. I ordered the Big Fat Patty burger and loaded fries. When the food was served, I tasted the fries "old and cold". Took my first bite of my burger and bit down on a pile of paper used to separate frozen hamburger patties. This was a great place in the past for our family to visit. Come on management, do better for your customers.
I’m in Huntington quite a bit for work, and recently found myself near by on a family road trip. I’d heard good things about Fat Patty’s so we stopped in to try. It was a slow Sunday so the place wasn’t too crowded, and the waitstaff were quick and attentive. The portions were huge for both our appetizers and burgers. Usually big quantity can mean low quality, but that was NOT the case here. Everything was top notch, and we all left with to-go boxes.
Bartender Abby was horrible… we should have left when we sat down. The bar needed cleaned off, when we asked her to wipe it down she gave us a bad look, half way wiped one side and we had to ask for napkins to clean off the rest. She then went and counted her cash drawer instead of taking our order (not sure why she wasn’t closing out) … had to ask for silverware, ranch… and celery … she carried our food around the bar talking to other patrons, instead of serving it… when we asked for celery the second time because it hadn’t been delivered she rolled her eyes at us. Place was practically empty and it took over an hour to get an order of fried pickles and wings. Then over charged us for an extra beer. Never had such poor service!!!
Still a great spot to go eat or hang out but don’t expect the quality of food that it had even a few years ago. The menu has been trimmed down and prices have crept up. Of course, their prices were low for so long that it’s still not horribly expensive. They, unfortunately, have probably 1/3 of the burgers they used to have. The food is still good but not quite like it used to be. The staff is still amazing though, so I feel like it’s a solid 4 star experience to go.
The quality of the food has decreased significantly after the change in management a few years ago. Any burger/sandwich I order these days has a dry, crusty bun. Many aspects of the business are preserved from the old days, but it truly was the old management that made the business what it was. What used to be my #1 favorite restaurant has turned into a place that I will not eat at again.
Have eaten here a little over a decade and can say the quality has definitely went downhill. Sad as it used to be my favorite in college. From dropping BOGO Tuesdays to taking wings of half apps, to lowering the portion size to about 6 wings for 10 bucks. To the streamlined cooking and service that doesn't have the passion in it anymore. When even something as basic as bacon cheddar fries consistently gets over cooked there's a problem. Sadly I will have to conclude my business with them after the aforementioned time and thousands of dollars spent they simply aren't worth it anymore.
Place is great for bar food! Appetizer: Wings were great - request extra crispy… and the pretzel bites were delicious. The fatty burger was excellent. Service was good and we received our food very fast.
