I stopped by to pick up some lunch for carry out after driving several hours. The menu online was attractive. I ordered the ahi tuna salad. I can not tell you how awful it was. It was supposed to be seared ahi tuna on greens with cashews. The tuna was not seared properly at all. It was barely light tan on the edges. It was just gross. The greens were bagged lettuce like you buy at Kroger and just not appealing at all. There were maybe 3 cashews in the salad. I messaged them on Fb about the poor quality for a 16 dollar salad… no response … won’t be back. The place looked nice. Cool atmosphere, but my salad sucked.
Unique mix of Tex Mex and Asian inspired dishes, from quesadillas and tacos to burritos and burgers (smasher). We tried the Pad Thai egg rolls (my favorite), a chorizo and prime rib burger smasher (great flavor and homemade chorizo!) and three tacos- tuna which was good but too much carrot, something that was supposed to be bulgogi but was more like steak in garlic aioli and an orange pork that wasn’t very orange or citrusy. They still tasted good and flavorful but just wasn’t what I expected from the menu description. Adding the sauce from the pad Thai to the steak was really good! The black beans were fantastic! The service was good, the location clean and friendly. Would go back and try something different, and get more black beans.
The restaurant had a really nice vibe we hot set in the back and it was nice quit. I did notice when we walked in the bar was directly infront of you and it was kind of loud and music was playing. We had a really big/nice table. Now the menu was so different. I was a little overwhelmed because of the combination of different burritos and burgers. But I was presently how good everything was. I would love to go back..
Very good food, I got the California burrito which was very good, it tasted much better than the picture look. The nachos were also very good. The only thing I didn’t like was the guacamole for 8$ you only get this little bit of it which is definitely not worth the price. All in all very good food, I’ll definitely be coming back.
Modern atmosphere. We tried several burritos. I tried the Hot Mess dairy-free in a bowl instead of the burrito. It was good. My daughter tried the chicken burrito in a bowl. They were able to provide gluten free. They were good about identifying items that could be cross contaminated. Service was okay and improved throughout our dinner.
I got the Shredded Chipotle orange pork BBQ burrito w/Street corn pot salad and sweet slaw w/a spicy pineapple margaritaPlus the lady that took care of use was nice aswell...overall great experience...will be back
The menu was very confusing for a burrito place. This is definitely not a place that I will be going again. And their servers were very friendly I give them that much. But there attention to their tables that was absolutely terrible very friendly people bad service skills. I've been in the restaurant industry for 15 years and I'll tell you right now that I work everywhere from McDonald's to five-star dining . They could have done better to be honest.
We ate dinner at the Black Sheep on a Friday evening. We were seated right away and our server greeted us right away. This poor girl got her steps in with me because I kept asking for iced tea. The food was very good. I got enchiladas and they were very tasty. My wife got the Ahi and Thai shrimp tacos. We left very satisfied. I couldn't even finish all my dinner.
When we order we got the salsa, guacamole, quasi and chips. Husband could not eat the salsa is only had a couple of bits as it was so spicy. We them order 2 chicken tacos for myself and a simple burger for him. My was so spicy that I could only eat the chicken from one of them. His hamburger was so salty that it was not edible.
Maybe I’ll strike it up to I ordered the wrong thing or the menu didn’t describe it right. However, I ordered steak tacos (without pico and lettuce) and was expecting to get some sort of tacos de carne asada style. Instead I got a flour tortilla that wasn’t even warmed or grilled and steak that was ice cold that you’d normally put on a salad. The steak wasn’t even seasoned. This was my first time eating here so perhaps I didn’t know this was how they were served but pretty disappointed in a freezing cold taco with cold steak. The restaurant itself was nice and friendly just weird they’d serve a taco like this.
