Stopped in while visiting Charleston for a day, and it was time very well spent. Incredibly kind staff, delicious food, and great coffee (and I don't even drink coffee). As soon as I sat down, I called my wife and told her she needed to drop what she was doing and come join me. Whenever I hear someone is visiting Charleston, this is the place I'll tell them they have to stop by.
I didn't really like scones before I had scones from The Vandalia Company. Most scones are overly dry, but theirs are perfect. Full of flavor, the chocolate chip ones have tons of chocolate chips in them, and the crystallized sugar on top is an excellent addition. The donuts here are also very good. You can get plain ones or try one of the ones with toppings and cream, either way you won't go wrong. Everything we've tried here has been great and their scones have become a go-to for us.
Their scones are fantastic, and their other menu items are well done as well. Great service, just wish they had longer hours. Highly recommend!
Today was my sister and I’s first time eating here, and we absolutely loved Vandalia Co. the restaurant was so adorable, the staff were all super sweet, and the food was amazing. My sister got the breakfast sandwich and loved it, while I got the chipotle sweet potato salad which was delicious. And of course we had to try their donuts, and they were phenomenal. It was a wonderful experience overall, and we’ll definitely be coming back soon.
This is such a cute spot to stop and take a break. The donut cups are so good! I highly recommend coming here :)
What a spacial place. I hate to admit but this week was my first time visiting. The space is warm, bright and “plant-iful.” I had vegetable soup and it was delicious and served at the perfect temperature ♨️. Finished with a coffee and chocolate chip scone. I can’t stop thinking about the soup/scone!
So, I did something today. I ate a chipotle salad with black beans , peppers, couscous, sweet potatoes and more. It was VERY VERY DELICIOUS! It was fresh (bought yesterday, sat in refrigerator overnight) refreshing and filled me up by leaving me perky and ready for the next adventure of my day! THANK YOU VANDALIA CO!!!
Ate here for the first time yesterday and it was outstanding!! I had the Crispy Thai Chickpea Grain Bowl.It was SOOOOOOO DELICIOUS, fresh and filling!! The customer service was GR8 as well!! Can't wait to go back next week and try another Grain Bowl along with a Donut or Scone.
Best donuts in town and great coffee too. Great ambiance, fits right in on the West Side.
