Great handcrafted food and service. Their eggplant parmesan is some of the best I've had. The portions are generous and the meal ces with tasty fresh bread. My top restaurant in charleston.

This place has given me explosive diarrhea for the past 20 hours, and I don’t think it’s going to let up any time soon. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I’m not sure if it was the calamari or the Gorgonzola cream sauce…but I barely made it to the toilet within 30 minutes of leaving this place last night. I am unwell and now I’m not sure I’ll be able to go to a concert tonight….the whole reason we are here in WV to begin with. Thanks Ristorante Abruzzi!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner of salmon, risotto and charred broccoli. My companion had the scallops which she also felt were well prepared and delicious. Ate in the outside dining area which was comfortable despite the heat we are currently experiencing.

So many reviews raving about the warm and welcoming service….our server, Jose acted inconvenienced our entire visit. He slammed things down on the table then walked away, not very attentive or caring service in the least. As for the food, it was pretty good overall, but our experience was uncomfortable and subpar

We were a party of five, including out of town vistors. This was the second time in less than a month we had frequented this restaurant, previously also with out of town guests at our suggestion. The good food and attentive service from an experienced server were both somewhat negated when we were presented with the bill with a "non-cash adjustment", an additional 4% added to the bill including on the taxes, an extra fee to use plastic. There was no mention of this change, the new upcharge, when making the reservation, no other notation ie. on the menu or upon entering the restaurant. Otherwise we could have carried cash. When we pointed out the fee, three of our party were able to scramble enough cash to cover their bill. With our bill exceeding $100. with gratuity, my husband was forced to incur the additional fee. Our society has become more "cashless" so this seems like a poor way to handle passing along the fee incurred by credit card companies, leaving one feeling "nickeled and dimed". We had a similar experience at another "mid-range/fine dining" establishment in Charleston who had implemented a similar charge several years ago but unsure if they still do as we have not been back. An advertised cash discount feels more palatable than a surprise fee, especially when if the discount is known in advance. The bill was presented with the fee on it, the assumption one pays with credit which we all had initially planned to do, and the others at our table who were able to pay with cash had to have the fee taken off at their request.

Great food, service was amazing. Portions perfect. Great Italian surely a hidden gem in Charleston WV

Food was over cooked and our chicken was burnt on two dishes. Prices are $5 to $10 more per dish than listed on here. Not worth the money.

Best food I have ever had, compliments to the cooks. They make the absolute best meals. It's hard to think about eating anywhere else. Beautiful presentation and taste. 10/10

It was a lovely evening at abruzzi’s on new year’s eve. The food was delicious. Salads were fresh and delicious.

Well...Not sure where to begin. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs....$22. This does not include a salad. You are given bread, but nothing better than the generic loaf of bread you would buy at a convenient store. The portion of the spaghetti was a children's size portion. Dont go in hungry, you will leave that way. But that's not the worst of it, the taste of the sauce is horrible. I left with a migraine headache as well. I read somewhere someone else did as well. The server was first class. She apologized for my bad experience. She took the dish off my bill as I wasn't able to even eat it. Its a lovely restaurant inside, but that is where it begins and ends, I am sorry to say.
