We were traveling through Charleston on July 2nd, and needed a place to eat dinner at 8 pm. We were so LUCKY to eat here. First of all, the soft pretzels appetizer was the best I’ve ever had. And the burgers with brown sugar sweet potato fries were superb. It was the best meal my family and I had eaten in a long time. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant for a feel good and family friendly place.

This is my new favorite way to wreck five napkins and my lipstick. Came in at noon on a Monday, ordered the Desperado burger and fries. The burger was huge, juicy, and well-cooked. Crispy bacon, sweet BBQ sauce, two huge onion rings, cheese, and a pile of jalapeños on top- it did not disappoint. The bun tasted like it was baked this morning. Fries were thick cut, seasoned well and piping hot, and the food landed incredibly quickly on my table. I almost felt a little guilty that I was alone; this is the kind of food and quick service my husband would have gone absolutely nuts over. Staff was friendly, space was clean and decorated with a slow if interesting art pieces. We will definitely be back!

Went to Gonzoburger for the first time the other day. It seems like I always heard terrible reviews about that place, so I avoided going there. I always try to eat at local owned restaurants, so we decided to give them a shot and judge for ourselves. My uncle and I both got their eponymous Gonzoburger. I gotta say, I have no idea why Gonzoburger gets the flack they get. The burgers and fries were really good. The server Ashley was great too. As someone that grew up going to Chris’s Hotdogs, this joint has that sentimental value too. Don’t be a burger snob… Go get you a burger at Gonzoburger!

Great dining experience. My waitress was helpful and knowledgeable in offerings and selection of beer and menu. Bar is clean. Service was very good.Good selection of burgers and very happy with my meal, El Jefe, had no issues or concerns. Liked the gonzo sauce on burger. ?A shame it wasn’t Friday as I would have automatically opted for the fish’n’chips. ???.For all those that rated low, I’d encourage a do over if you can…Thank you Ladies, you did a great job. Thanks chef. ?

Great find on the Charleston West Side! Amazing burgers and fries, and a super cool setting with a rich history. Love how they feature local art on the walls too. Definitely recommend!

Service is phenomenal. Food not so much. Ordered Mac and cheese bites, clearly frozen. Which came out decently tasty. The burger was another story. When burger is in your “name” at least cook it to temp. Ordered “as rare as you can get it” came out well +. Will never go back. Probably tasty if you’re looking for a smash burger joint. But definitely not worth the price they charge. Not even close. Left my leftovers at the bar.

We enjoy their burgers and the Friday special of fish and chips. Additionally we enjoy this section of town and the hard work that the local business owners have committed to making this area fun and inviting. The building and interior of this restaurant is beautiful. When you stop by, don't forget to take a minute to examine the fine detail and craftsmanship of the antique bar counter. The tin ceiling and tilework takes you back to a bye-gone era. We enjoy the food and service and we can't wait until the planned street lighting project is completed.

I am a Doordasher and recently received an order for pick up with an expected time. Upon arrival, the staff informed to me that they have yet to start the order and would be ready 20 minutes past the expected time (possibly four tables with two persons in each, so not real busy). Fifty minutes pass and I receive the order without the common courtesy of acknowledging or apologizing how long it had been to prepare two burgers.

Our waitress, Ashley was a great server. Our food came out promptly and was very good. Brook Brown is there every Thursday and played his guitar and sang. Great entertainment!

Live Music by Brooke Brown was amazing addition to some of the best fried pickles ive ever had. The food we had was the gonzo fries and a massive soft pretzel. Service fast friendly hot fresh food made a perfect end to the night of a great trip to Charleston WV. Look Brooke up on Facebook for more info.
