Wonderful chef, the entire party enjoyed the meals. Excellent service and of course a great wine selection. The only down side was three noise level and the small tables. Better for a friend's night out than date night. We'll definitely be back.
Staff was great, food selection was not bad, just typical - wouldn't go out of my way to go here specifically. Ambience/atmosphere were pleasant. If my goal was just to have a nice place to meet, 4 stars.
I met two friends at The Lounge for happy hour, and the service was amazing. I have a rare food allergy, and the waitress asked multiple questions to clarify -- and the chef came out of the kitchen to triple-check all was ok! They truly showed a level of care I haven't experienced in a restaurant in a VERY long time. Wine & food were delicious, atmosphere was fun, and service phenomenal. We will be back!
I rarely give 5-star reviews. The service was perfect, the wine and food offerings were varied and very good. I had two glasses of Cabernet/Merlot with pasta and prawns, followed by a caloric but rich chocolate torte that we split. My wife had the fish of the day, without any bones, and the pace of the service was just right. We got there at 5 00 on a Sunday so it got crowded after we left.
The standout of The Lounge was the service. Sophisticated yet playful server made excellent recommendations on both wine and food selections. The atmosphere is lovely. My only feedback is the lighting is inconsistent. Some areas are weirdly bright. Overall a lovely meal, excellent wine and exceptional service. Highly recommend. Make a reservation to be sure you have a spot at the table.
Our expectation was elevated pub food, but The Lounge can stand up tall next to any fine dining in the Seattle area! I was shocked how good the entrees were- I had their black cod special with some amazing and flavorful rice and my wife really enjoyed the short rib (small amount of meat, but very good). We also really enjoyed their top-notch wedge salad (which they were very nice to split up so beautifully for us) and loved the duck poutine. I wish they had cocktails, but it is still great to just enjoy the Delille wines. The atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful.
I got the grilled cheese with brisket added and when it arrived there was very little brisket and half of it was all fat. Ugh! So, not worth the extra up-charge. I did mention it the server (she was very nice) and she took it back to the kitchen to see if they could add more brisket meat without the chunks of fat. 10 minutes later (and after the rest of my group had finished eating), I got half a sandwich back (yes, only half). Yes, there was more meat added but they used my original cheese and bread which meant they overcooked the cheese (it was actually crunchy) to warm it back up. Poor guest service from the kitchen and manager (who never even came over to the table to apologize for the sandwich situation). Good atmosphere and wine but our experience (including everyone at my table) was the food was average at best. We were so excited to visit the restaurant but we will not be back.
We had such a great time at the Lounge! Originally were looking for a wine tasting option after a work team offsite but due to the time of our event, were not able to find one. Someone suggested the Lounge and mentioned they have a great food selection so we decided to try it out. Everything was great but we were pleasantly surprised with the number of vegetarian options on the menu! We weren't expecting much but was definitely nice to find so many options. Will definitely be coming back with my husband!
I took my mom on a dinner date to DeLille and we had an amazing time! I was warmly greeted at the front desk and the layout was just beautiful, classy and yet cozy. We started with their house made focaccia and it looked like pound cake (which is a far cry from the airy stuff I'm used to) but it was so delicious! Especially with the olive oil and salted butter. Then my mom and I had the Maple Roasted Squash Salad and I tried the pasta on the weekly special menu. Both were very flavorful and filling. We had to try dessert so we did the special which was olive oil cake with local salted caramel ice cream and toasted pistachios. Oh and we did an explore & compare tasting of the Malbec - this is where you get to try a 2oz pour of a DeLille wine and its counterpart from another country. It was an fun experience and I am definitely coming back for either dinner or to try their happy hour.
We visited The Lounge at DeLille on Sunday for dinner. We were greeted warmly by the hosts and our server was very friendly and informative about the menu. Since it was our first visit we tried to get different things and share. The server gave us each two wines to taste and then came back with full glasses when we made up our minds, which I really appreciate. We had the calamari appetizer which was very good; they were more like a calamari steak sliced into sticks and were very tender. I had the pan roasted bone-in chicken breast special which was delicious and perfectly cooked. My mom had the flat iron steak and frites, which she enjoyed. My husband had the prawns spaghetti which he raved about. All items were brought out hot and very fresh. We also tried two desserts, the chocolate ganache and the triple ice cream (which was served like cream puffs). So Good! We will definitely be returning!!
