Eaten here twice had fajitas both times which are pretty good. One thing I really enjoy about the fajitas at Ay Caramba is they actually cook the vegetables that come with the meat instead of just lightly sautéing them. Maybe you have to ask for it but there is no salt, pepper or anything else available at the table. The meat is fine, it's very tender and cooked to a perfect doness for me, but I don't find it very flavourful. All in all still delicious. Would highly recommend eating here.
Fajita Burrito with chicken - ample portions but not so good. Chicken tasted odd. If you go, beef may be a safer choice (but I haven't tried so you're on your own). Wife had enchiladas that weren't anything special. Lots of really loud kids were present when we went.Difficult to recommend.
The burrito in the picture is the deluxe burrito. It never specified that there was burrito sauce and when it came the burrito sauce didn’t taste like anything and it was extremely watery.
This was a fantastic dinner. The first dinner was a seafood flauta The second was chicken enchilada with a stuffed chili relleno (beef filling) the third was enchilada rancheros. Omg every one of them was so so good! The plates were so large that 1/2 of each plate went home with us for lunch tomorrow. Service was so on the spot we didn't wait for anything. If you are a Mexican food lover like we are, don't miss this place. You won't be sorry!
This was our second time coming here and the experience was okay. The first time was amazing, this time around some things were off. We ordered the Molcajete and we were kinda disappointed. It was tiny compared to other Mexican restaurants we’ve been to and did not come with cactus. The taste was good, different but still delightful. We ordered a pina colada, michelada, and a cantarito. I noticed towards the end that at the bottom of my drink were tiny hairs. Very tiny as stated but perhaps more noticeable since my drink was white and the hair color was black. Although, the other drinks came out perfect!
The portions were small for a enchilada and chile rellenos. I had a taco salad it tasted like the meat had been sitting for a long time. Servers sitting at the bar talking with each other made me feel like I was invading their spot. I've had other experiences there that were good this one not so much
The food tasted extremely old, I can’t believe they served me something they cooked days ago. It looked old and tasted awful. Guacamole was dark, rice seemed hard and flavorless (for God’s sakes, rice is cheap why not cook fresh rice daily) and the old chile relleno was not appetizing, I was afraid to taste it.
One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area for its variety and authentic dishes. Truthfully, its the best. Highly recommend the molcajete, its very good. margaritas are pretty decent as well. Our new go to.
We enjoyed a Mexican plated experience! Served straight from the oven, the food was very enjoyable. The plates have a good amount of food so you won't go away hungry. Good value for the money.
I ordered chicken enchiladas and what I get is a soggy corn tortilla topped with "sauce" that tasted like burnt gravy. The chicken was so dry I had to use their chip salsa to not only add moisture to the chicken but to give it flavor wouldn't hurt to add some sauce or cheese in the tortilla with the chicken . To save a headache I would not order the "Prawns and Scallops" they seem to not know the difference between Prawns and shrimp plus they will only give you 5 prawns * cough I mean shrimp
