El sombrero is one of our favorite restaurants to go to as a family. We have 7 kids and El sombrero is so accommodating. Coloring books and crayons, a great kids menu and horchata drinks that kids love. Their adult menu is amazing. My favorite is the tacos Al carbon. The owners are super friendly and we have gotten to know them over the past 18 years. Their new restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious and all the staff are wonderful..
I've lived in Washington for 4 years and El Sombrero is bar none the tastiest Mexican food I've had in the state. From the chips and salsa to entrees and skinny margaritas everything was made to perfection and delicious. We look forward to our next visit!

This place has nice basic no frills Mexican food. Great place for a lunch or quick dinner at a good price. Has nice big TVs for watch sports as well. Nice staff, quick service and decent price.
Throughout my lifetime I have ate at El Sombrero countless times when visiting Walla Walla. The most recent time was Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. El Sombrero has a monopoly on the Mexican family restaurant industry in the town which says a lot about its food as Walla Walla has a large Hispanic population. Inside the restaurant is beautiful with the bar area really aesthetically pleasing. The renovation that was completed several years back really turned out gorgeous.I think the food is superb. Always fresh and the chips are warm. On our most recent visit Jesse was our server and while it took a little longer for our food to come out, service was still decent and our meals delicious. I would say prices at El Sombrero are a tad more expensive than your average family Mexican restaurant but I believe it is worth it. We look forward to eating at El Sombrero the next time we are in Walla Walla.

Friendly staff and very helpful on taking a 10 party order for dinner. I was visiting Walla Walla and they made you feel as if your their neighbor. My order came out quick, no errors - a perfect 10.Thanks
Very friendly & nice staff! It was busy but we were seated quickly. Clean restaurant. The 3 stars are for the very average food. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. With so many really good Mexican places around, we won't go back..
My first time here. I loved the food and I had iced tea that was yummy. Great service and very friendly staff.
After exiting US 12, we drove past this restaurant. It is an easy walk from the Marcus Whitman. We were quickly seated in the clean light and airy restaurant. We were quickly served. The food was good. If I lived in Walla Walla, I'll bet I would be here frequently. Good food for a good price in a clean environment.
