Five of us went here for drinks, which were fabulous! Stayed for dinner. Wow! Good choice on our part. Food was delicious! We shared the Sedgwick salad, shrimp, Brie, asparagus and the cauliflower…all amazing! Great flavors and perfectly prepared.Cocktails, we had the Mojito, whiskey on the rocks and London fog others shared a bottle of wine.Service was great as well! Thank you!! We will definitely be back.
I saw the sign in the window of this place before it opened up awhile ago and completely forgot about it. Wanted to go out with a friend so was looking for a place outside our normal “go to’s” ….I am happy to have tried The Sedgwick. The food was out of this world amazing. The drinks were original and good (I’m a bit particular with drinks so the bacon old fashion I ordered was a bit sweet for me but still great. Honestly the vibe, the service, the food, everything was on point. I will go back again and again for sure.
Excellent quality food and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The portions are generous sizes. Some guidance around ordering food - order in small batches as the food comes out quick from the kitchen and if you put in an order for all the things you want to eat, it’s going to appear all at once! I really enjoyed the London Fog cocktail!
I don't write reviews unless a place inspires me. And I will yell you this, The Sedgewick as of 4/1/22 has become my new favorite restaurant in all of Vancouver. This place is located where Tommy O's used to be in Downtown Vancouver. The drinks, staff, and food WERE TOP NOTCH. (Notice I said drinks first <3). The decor and staff are fancy yet inviting. I wish I wasn't writing this because I expect this place will become extremely difficult to get a table at in the near future. We had the brie, burratta, squash salad, one of the burgers, and a ribeye meat on a stick. For drinks, we ordered off the cocktail menu and also had a long Island ice tea. Every drink was fresh and delicious. DO NOT MISS the pea one on the specialty menu. It's a navy blue drink that turns colors upon serving. This wasn't dinner or happy hour, it was an experience!!!
What a great place! The food is absolutely delicious. You can make a reasonable meal out of just the yakatori skewers, or go all out and really do it up big with the plates. We did both, and it was tremendous. The short rib birria and pork belly yakatori were standouts, along with the grilled octopus. The kale salad was also incredible. Great atmosphere, and the owner is a real hoot. Can’t recommend highly enough.
I'm a local small business owner located super close to this spot, so myself and another small business owner decided to give this place a try for dinner since it was within walking distance of our studios. We stuffed ourselves silly with so much great food. The drinks were tasty too. A nice spot to get several dishes to sample and share with the table. Will definitely be back to try the bread pudding!
Wonderful experience. I loved the food. So many interesting options. Bar top full of great options. Seating is formal with casual appeal. Local guests looked comfortable in this trendy new location. Great performance on this new venture.
I’d love to say that my experience started great and then it did not. My lady got her main dish first and after 20 min of waiting for mine, I canceled my dish. (There’s nothing more tacky than bringing main dishes at different times). Tim, one of the owners went above and beyond to make things right and then some. I went from thinking I won’t be back here to coming back again. The food we had was great as were the drinks. An apology would have been enough for me, but Tim took it and ran with making sure I’d leave there with a positive experience. We will be back for sure!
Hmmmm....I'm thinking a four.Cocktails need the slightest of bumps in punch factor.poloDefinitely sit in the bar area. Much nicer atmosphere. The bisque and the desert were the stars of the meal. The service was as good as can be expected. Not bad...just not the best.We enjoyed it!?
The Sedgwick left a great first impression! We ordered items from the cocktail, dinner, seasonal and yakitori menu. We were pleasantly surprised there were sauces which accompanied the yakitori and skewered ribeye. Our favorite dishes were the mushroom risotto (seasonal), pork belly fava, and lamb belly carbonara. The friendly service, dim lighting, and decor make it an ideal spot for a date night or small group gathering. We look forward to our next visit!
