First, the past...Stopped coming here a few years ago, because when the employee pulled my drink cup out of the spring loaded horizontal holder behind the counter approximately 20 extra cups came out as well & landed on the floor. They picked them up & put them right back into the holder for the next 20ish people...if they do that here in front of me, what are they doing sanitation-wise when nobody is looking.Today...I thought I'd give them another shot as they are one of 3(?) fast food places west of I-5 in downtown. The place has been remodeled since I as last here, however It was exceeding slow with just 2 people in front of me at 1545 hours on a Saturday. I'm glad I wasn't on my lunch break. The thing which will keep me from coming back is when the worker made my footlong they were 'very' cautions to level off the meat portioning scoop...which I totally understand for portion control. However, after she got the 2nd scoop (1 per 6") & leveled it off she deliberately placed her thumb over the scoop & kept ~ 1/3 of the meat in the scoop before replacing it.We've all been to Subway or a place like it & so most of us watch to make sure they make it as we want them to within company guidelines. This was intentional & I'm not coming back especially when you consider it is a $12.49 sandwich.
The staff are really cool and friendly, it feels like you're actually interacting with a person. The food is always fresh and speed of service is good, more recently they've been running out of certain breads, chips, etc., but it's still worth it just for the staff interactions.
They had no chips available, no bottled drinks or juice for kids meals. 70% of the veggies fell out of the sandwich when they went to fold it together and they didn't even try to put them back on. Also I got a fountain drink but they were out of straws.
Whoever is reading this with power at this store, the gentleman working 1/24 are the dopest subway workers in the area. These guys are welcoming, happy and always have good conversations. Please take care of these dudes
I've been eating at this Subway for 16 years (mainly because it's three blocks from my office) and never had an issue until recently. The place must have changed hands because it is a disaster. It's never stocked, always out of bread, meats, and other necessary items to build a basic sandwich. It's hard to decipher whether the people working are employees or if they came in off the street. Loud rap music blaring and the employees (or whoever they are) always cussing at each other. The person who made my "sandwich" today literally had no idea what to do. I don't think he even knew where he was. I never post reviews but I recommend skipping this place and walking the few extra blocks to City Sandwich or Big Town Hero. Doubt I'll ever go back unless I'm desperate.
The staff here were so pleasant and funnyDuring an absolutely crazy weekend for them, it was nice to have such great service.
Probably the most respected person I met tonight!! The young man had very good knowledge, he knows his manners, great place great food great customer service. I’ll be no doubt in my mind coming back to this perfect spot much love to all the people working at this subway it’s great energy we all need and you guys showed. Thanks Thanks Much Love Always
Worst experience I have had at Subway. The guy was poorly trained, working alone. 3 customers left while waiting in a long line because service was slow. Sandwich was poorly made and the produce was GROSS. Old cucumber, bruised old spinach, tomatoes did not look fresh, the lettuce was browning. I ended up only getting a little lettuce and some olives on my sandwich. I haven’t tried my sandwich yet, but I’m also afraid to. How long ago was the meat rotated and thrown out? If the produce was bad….then what’s the likelihood the meat is bad? Managers need to step it up and properly train people. Have 2 people instead of just one at a pretty busy downtown location. Very disappointed and won’t be going to this location again.
Great Food!! Came in Last, week and it was kinda packed but that’s Ok, all businesses are usually busy, especially the Good Ones!! Much support Subway!!
