They did an amazing job for us. We had a celebration of life we needed catered last minute and they were able to come over, get a menu together and book us for that weekend. We had so many people ask where the food was from. It was incredible. On top of their kindness. They came out the weekend our city hit 115 degree outside. The server had a smile the entire time, didn’t complain once. She was attentive, helped the kiddos dish up and boxed everything for us to enjoy throughout the week. We cannot wait to use their company again in the future :)
We were SET to use Simply Thyme for our wedding caterer. However after 6 emails and 5 phone calls that went to voicemail, we’re convinced these 1 star reviews are the more accurate of the bunch.My fiancé got a hold of Debbie and she told us 2 weeks ago she’d reply with a quote that following Tuesday. Flash forward three weeks and she told us she’d return a quote by the weekend, unfortunately we haven’t seen anything.Now I’m confident we dodged a bullet. The pandemic has increased pressure for the food/beverage industry to sink or swim, however as a business manager you need to establish boundaries.I wish them the best in terms of improvement, staff management and business - but they lost our recommendations. The greater Portland area is also a small city.Poor response times, poor communication, and there’s plenty of other companies in the area to choose from.
Simply Thyme will leave you high and dry!I'm on the event committee for my company and we decided to use Simply Thyme to cater our Thanksgiving lunch. We placed the order for 50 box lunches on Friday 11-19 for our lunch at Noon on Tuesday 11-23. They took the order and confirmed the delivery to be made an hour before our lunch.They contacted us 15 minuets prior to the agreed upon delivery time to inform us that they would not be fulfilling the order. Not that they would be late or short a few boxes, the ENTIRE ORDER WAS CANCELLED!They ruined our employee's well deserved special lunch and left everyone with empty stomachs. I would think twice about using Simply Thyme if you intend on actually eating something.
Sandwich was soaked in myoglobin, ingredients were sourced from WinCo. Not a gourmet experience :(

They delivered the most amazing box lunches for 380 at 10:15 at night. Everyone was in such awe of how great the food was and by the presentation. I would recommend Simply Thyme for any event you may have.
My fiancée and I have been trying to find a caterer that has plenty of gluten free options for our upcoming wedding. We talked to the owner and they said we should have a quote within the next few days, at the latest by the end of the week; that was 3 weeks ago. We just called today and the lady who answered the phone stated that our event isn't until next year so they'll get to back to us when they "work through the stack of quotes/ inquiries". I'm sorry, but that doesn't work for us! We're trying to plan a wedding and you're asking us to delay a BIG decision. We will NOT be using you and thank you for wasting our time!
About a month ago, I decided to try a new approach to weight loss and lucky for me I came across
We had Simply Thyme Catering for our friends rehearsal dinner and it was excellent. They started us out with appetizers and then we had a salad. After that then we had our dinner served which was either Alaskan Salmon or steak. Steak was excellent. To top it off there was a cheese cake as well as a chocolate cake. Some of the best tasting cake I have had in a very long time as well. Finally, the service was amazing as well, they were constantly making sure everything was clean and perfect. Thanks so much, you guys are great!
Debbie with Simply Thyme Catering was so easy to work with for our wedding. The food was fantastic! So many guests complimented us on the selection and flavors. Simply Thyme was very accommodating with plating the head tables' food first, which gave the bridal party time to eat while the guests were getting their food from the buffet. Debbie also created a special plate for my Grandmother who has allergies to dairy and nuts. Highly recommend. - Nikki & John S.
