Planet Thai is an absolute great place to eat, for both dine in and take out! The restaurant is easily accessible and surrounded by pleasant scenery. I absolutely recommend the crispy duck and the honey half chicken. Their Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee is also very delicious!
We have eaten here many, many times. Everything we've had is excellent! Green curry, crab cakes, crab puffs, pineapple fried rice, pot stickers...all solid choices. Food is consistently good whether take-out or dine in. Highly recommended!
The food was delicious, but docked 2 stars for service tonight. I sat down with my elderly mother just before the Friday night dinner rush. We had already decided what we wanted and were very hungry, but no one had come to take our drink orders as several tables around us were seated and had their drink orders taken.We continued to sit and wait as the people across from us who were seated after us got their drinks and appetizers. I kept trying to make eye contact with a sever but several more rushed by before I could finally flag someone down to take our order. The server I flagged down seemed annoyed that I had done so.We then continued to wait without drinks or appetizers while all those later tables got their 2nd drinks and dinners served. At one point someone who seemed like a manager walked by and asked if we'd gotten our food yet, when I said no, not even our drinks, he rushed off seemingly to look into it, but then never returned and we waited quite some time. Another server finally came with a plate of food that we hadn't ordered...We finally got our drinks as the tables around us were paying their tabs, and the food finally came, and was indeed very good. But no one came to check on us, no one asked us how our food was. When we were finished and ready for boxes, with plates stacked at the end of the table, no one came. I again had to flag someone down for a box and the check.I felt completely ignored, and I never even knew who our actual server was. The table next to us got great service, they seemed to be regulars and their server was very attentive to them while ignoring us. I never lost my temper, and was not rude or angry when I asked for service, as I could tell everyone was busy. But by the time we left I felt angry, it was 2 hours later, We'd gone in early and hoped for a simple, quick meal, and tables all around had been seated twice before we got the bill.All it would have taken was for someone to apologize, and perhaps offer a complimentary dessert or to knock a little off of our tab. Or at least just a sincere apology! But nothing.I put out a card with the bill, and again after waiting while servers kept passing by our table, I put the card away and paid cash, with a small 10% gratuity because I feel bad leaving nothing. But honestly I shouldn't have tipped at all, and would have felt justified in walking out without paying and never going back, but I'm just not the kind of person who can do that and feel okay about it. But I felt very mistreated and will not go back.
Spicy done well. Pad See Ew uses broccoli florets and stems and leaves! It's like three veggies in one. Food arrived promptly.Would eat again
Love this place! My partner and I have been eating here once a week for the last month. The food is hot & delicious and the salad rolls are always fresh. Planet Thai uses fresh herbs in their rolls, which I love. The Red curry & Pad thai are both divine. Tables are clean and staff is always friendly & inviting.
We come here regularly and the service is outstanding every time. Sam always makes our experience very special. I have multiple allergies and he is always very understanding and accommodating. This is one of the very few places that I can safely eat at. The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. The fish is always grilled just right. Great place with great people! We love coming here!
We had been there once before about a year ago and the food was decent. This time we ordered takeout this last weekend. Service was fast but the food was absolutely tasteless. The egg rolls were mushy and barely had any filling, the sweet and sour chicken barely edible and the other dish we ordered just blend, no flavor whatsoever. All of this at a premium price, we will definitely look for another thai place.

Pretty disappointed.Short,Ordered online with a 30 min wait after the expected pickup window. Incorrect food orders, mixed the protein with other entree's.Zero communication on how much longer/what's going on.Long,Confirmation email said pickup was 6:30-6:50. I showed up at 6:50 because I have a 2 y/o and didn't want to be stuck waiting. I received one text regarding order at 6:52, same as email. Food was brought out just after 7:20 in a sauce soaked bag that had to be brought back for repackaging. 2 y/o is beyond done so we left. Mistake because we later found the meat sources mixed in the wrong orders. We made that work but its like insult to injury. Zero apologies, explanations, offers to really make anything better. Wish I could go back, because we paid for the order when we first got there and left a large tip before this whole thing started.. Another mistake.On a more personal, subjective complaint. The food prep was not to my liking. The tofu bites are huge, so by the time you cut them down to bite size there's little flavor left. The added vegetables at least in the fried rice are of similar complaint, massive bites that are not a joy.I guess on the positives, the workers were fine. Not rude or lazy or something. There is absolutely an issue with information dissemination. If they are busy that's fine, if there is a mistake and the order needs remade that's ok. Tell me about it. Don't give me an auto generated pickup that is completely inaccurate.Then if I ordered over an hour ago say something, maybe a simple apology even.
Food should not come covered in broccoli, when the dish does not list it as an ingredient. Everything we ordered had broccoli in it , although we chose menu items that were supposed to be free of it . It ruined our Valentine dinner. Also,the dishes were poorly cooked and expensive. Will not return there for take out again.
