This restaurant sort of just appeared out of nowhere and I only heard of it through word of mouth stating that the pizza and pasta here is the best in town. I went here with a friend recently, and we definitely enjoyed the experience! The interior was more casual than I had been expecting, but our service was nice and the waitresses seemed proud to work at such an authentic place and answer any questions about the menu. Prices were somewhat expensive but the food was definitely worth it, fresh ingredients on every dish and excellent combination of flavors. I love gnocchi and would definitely recommend the gnocchi alla sorrentina, simple yet super satisfactory. My friend's pizza was an excellent size and she enjoyed it a lot, I was rather impressed by the unique crust. I'm definitely going to have to come back here, great experience.

I’d heard from others that this was the “best pizza in Vancouver” so obviously we had to try it out. And so far, of the pizza places I’ve tried here, I would have to agree! Pizza was fantastic, but the mac & cheese from the kids menu may have been the best mac & cheese I’ve ever had. The cannolis were delicious as well. I almost took a star off because service did take a really long time and it took a while to get our food, but I think a lot of restaurants are struggling right now with having enough staff. So as long as you plan to have some nice long conversations with the people you’re with, you’ll love it here!

OMGOSH it was sooo good! I had the Ziti Alla Genovisi, ceasar salad and the bread with olive oil. The meat was like a pot roast in the sense that it fell apart and melted in your mouth. Just the right amount of sauce and it was rich and full of flavor. The pasta was cooked to perfection. I spent $35 but that's because I ordered all 3 dishes and now I have leftovers. The staff were all cheerful, knowledgeable, and just wonderful. I was limited on time so they reserved me a spot and preordered my food and helped me decide what to get without a menu, all over the phone. I even overheard one of the staff on the phone helping someone to make decisions and changes as needed for a person with dietary restrictions. I will definitely be returning when I come back to town.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in Vancouver. I have been to Naples and the food at La Sorrentina reflects the culture, experience and tastes I had in Naples. You will NOT be disappointed. I have tried many different pizzas and pastas here but the Gnocchi is a classic that will always be my favorite. Tastes just like the one I had in Sorrento.

My husband I came here for a celebratory birthday dinner, and it was the perfect fit for the occasion! Friendly and warm atmosphere, and the staff were all incredibly helpful in answering questions and giving personal recommendations. We split two pizzas, and had a little left to take home. Both the Diavola and theProsciutto & Arugula (with added burrata) were delicious and so flavorful! The crust was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and fluffy/chewy on the inside. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the pasta and gnocchi dishes!

My husband and I came here for the first time after passing it daily on our way to work, and finally one day came in to give it a try. It absolutely did NOT disappoint. My husband has been to Rome and as soon as he tasted the pizza, he said he felt like he was back in Italy. This is true Italian Style pizza, not the overloaded or super thick crust American style pizza. Less truly is more, there's so much flavor and we have been addicted to this place since. Not only is their pizza amazing, but so are their pasta dishes and desserts. And their cappuccinos? *chefs kiss*Staff is always very kind, and the owners (a wonderful Husband and Wife duo) take the time to check in when they're available. Such a lovely place, I wish I could give it more stars!

This was our first time at this restaurant, and it did not disappoint at all ... in fact it exceeded our expectations. The pizza (a special of the day), gnocchi, and pappardelle pasta with lamb ragu (special) were very flavorful. The desserts (cannoli and a rum baba) were just the right thing to end our meal! The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions about the southern Italy inspired restaurant and dishes ... very welcoming. The chef is very friendly and humble -- you can tell he enjoys making great tasting dishes. We can't wait to go back and even though we live about 40 minutes away it is worth the drive!

Ordered the pepperoni pizza pictured. Added smoked mozzarella as well. The fresh and tangy sauce combined with a bite from the pepperoni folded into wood fire grilled crust and you have a 5 star pepperoni pizza all day long. Delicious, a bit on the pricey side but worth the extra for such a memorable slice. Taste buds are ready for more more more.

I've had many different wood fired pizzas and I thought this was a bit bland my husband thought it was great. I wish I could say I loved it. We had to wait a bit for our food,. However they did serve the kids first which is smart! Plus it was a Friday night and they were very busy. My son is Gluten free and he loved his GF pizza.

Recommended. We had the Diavola and the Sausage and Onion. Both very good, one pie each left us completely full after a long hike. Fresh ingredients, bread was baked perfectly and was impressive on its own. Owner was very friendly and you can tell she cares, staff were also very attentive, stellar service.
