The food and staff was really good. I split the meal so it was more affordable, but I would say expect to spend at least $20 if you are going for a meal. Loved the aesthetic of the room and music.
The Lamb & Chicken entree was really good as well as the Shawarma! The Pistachio Baklava was excellent! :) The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Recommendations, the Samosa needs to be fried less and the restaurant temperature needed to be turned up. (It was chilly when we visited in mid-March.)
Was surprised to see this restaurant was still open. I thought it had closed.Anywho, my dining partner and I ordered two entrees (sorry, don't remember the names). We also ordered the hummus and side salads (four salads) you have the option of getting with an entree. These came out about 10 mins. before the entrees, and after eating these, we realized we probably didn't need to order the entrees! It was very filling.Everything was yummy.
Okay, firstly you MUST try the Grape Leaves. I love Mediterranean food and I've had this dish at dozens of places, they are so wonderfully flavored and they let you swap taziki for hummus which is so deeply appreciated as a vegan. Lovely staff and establishment. There is one negative and that's that everything came in styrofoam, but I will still be coming back (I'll just be dinning in)
We a group of 7. Toke a bunch of stuff. Chicken on fire and garlic chicken taste fine but the chicken is extremely hard and chewy, had to chew for 10 minutes per piece. Beef skewers same story, really hard beef. Hard chewy meat seems to be a theme here, ruined the experience for us.
Great food, great service and the best pistachio baklava!
I am super disappointed. I have been going to Jerusalem Cafe on and off since 2008. I recently placed an online order and had it delivered. This is what I recieved for about $27. The food was too salty and there were no sides, such as the hummus, potato salads and other clean tasty cabbage salads that used to come with a meal. I'm not sure if ownership has changed or if they are just cutting corners but I won't be ordering from here again.
We had a delightful dinner here. The food was gorgeous and plentiful so we had enough to take home for a whole nother meal. Everything was delicious!
The gyro was delicious. My friends had shrimp and substituted the Mediterranean salad for rice. They were very accommodating
On a whim I ordered from here. This was an experience. The kebabs were perfectly seasoned and cooked and the lamb and hummus was like a kiss from an angel. We didn't have utensils at our hotel, but eating with our hands in a traditional way reminded me of a time I never experienced 10/5 stars, would live there if I could
