Can’t say enough good things about this spot! I’ve been a few times now and the employees are so kind and thoughtful and thorough. Food-wise, I know to expect a small wait while they are preparing my order but once you taste the food you understand why. Absolutely delicious. Make sure to ask for the pickled carrots - they are to die for!
This place used to be really good! Now it's the worst place in Vancouver! My husband and I just ate there and it was the worst food ever. The beans are like water and had absolutely no taste at all. The rice was the same...no flavor. My burrito was suppose to be chicken and it was made with roast and it was made out of the largest tortilla and that's what it mostly was...TORTILLA! Little meat, rice and beans. The only thing I enjoyed was my coke! Never will support this buissness ever. And they raised the prices pretty high. I understand things are selling at a higher price now but those prices are ridiculously high.
I ordered #8 or #88, I think. Watch out for potholes in unlit drive-thru on right. Just hug left side.I thought prices were high, but now 97% of goods are high. Some even hide prices: MD off Cornell in pdx.Be prepared to wait; they actually cook it. Also, must sign card payments.
Disappointed! I went in to get beef soup and fish soup today, and got fish Broth with one fillet of fish cut in half paid $31 dollars Something cents! The other soup was for a sick family member that I had to leave the food outside for her so I wouldn't know until she opens it. I called the restaurant Javier's tacos and told them what was going on! And never said sorry! Anyways! They agreed to give me a little more of fish fillets and they said normally they give out only two fillets what a rip off! For $15! When I did put my soup back in the container to show them I wasn't joking! I didadded the pictures of the white container fish soup I got back after they took it inside! not to mention cold already and the clear small one I got. They also didn't realize my tortillas would be cold by then and they didn't care to replace them at all! Did I have to request?! Anyways it's the last time I'm coming to this one ! Horrible and expensive! not worth it!!
We ordered the asada fries, chicken burrito and pozole. The pozole was made fresh and it was very good. Happy with everything else. Good for a quick meal!
Hadn't tried it before, so we thought what the heck. Very little meat in burrito that I had and same with the tacos my husband had. Flavor had a kick, was pricie for what you got. Place could have been cleaner. We won't be going back.
Got a carne asada burrito today, have had them all over town but was a first for here. It was so delicious I ate the whole thing! Fresh and yummy guacamole
Been here about a dozen times but lately things have not been good. Burritos getting smaller and 2 dollar more, torta recently had barely any toppings, and got a kids chicken burrito which the picture shows rice and beans but we got a tiny bean burrito with crinkle cut fries that tasted freezer burnt.Maybe I’m not in my 20’s and wanting a burrito after partying, but if I was a little less than sober and paid 9.75 for a tiny burrito I would be mad….
30 minutes and $24 for a wrong order, I went for an order of chicken and one chicken, one beef enchilada plates, they missed the chicken order completely and when I got them one had beef and beef/chicken the other was correct but I had to wait longer to get it, both had these nasty grey runny beans, tried the enchilada, just plain bad which is unfortunate because I love the Javier's on Vancouver ave in Portland, I ate there nearly every day on my lunch break and never once had a bad experience
Having lived in Texas, I'm picky about Mexican food. The PNW tends to be fairly mediocre in that respect, but not Javier's Tacos! This is easily the best burrito spot in the Vancouver area. We've ordered from them several times and they are always on point. The burritos are huge and delicious. Their breakfast burritos are the perfect way to start off your day! Their grilled chicken and carne asada burritos are so tasty and big enough for a couple of meals. Seriously, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some of their food - you'll love it!
