I come here often. A great value. The same cost as fast food, wayyyy better food than fast food.. Service is always good.. One thing that would be great is if y'all stopped using styrofoam containers, that would be awesome. Help lessen landfill waste. Styrofoam takes 700 years to break down.
First time here, after putting it off and forgetting to try it for almost 6 years, and I am so sad I slept on it so long! The flavor of the char on the chicken is amazing (I had the Hoku's bbq chicken), and the katsu is perfectly crisp, and has a nice flavor in the breading. I would love to come back, but even the smaller portion is like 3 meals, so I may never need to eat again!
I ordered catering for my daughters grad party from Hawaiian Style Grill. I had never eaten here before but my daughter wanted Hawaiian food for the party and other locals restaurants were booked. I am so happy we ended up with Hawaiian Style Grill. The service for ordering was impeccable. They were so prompt in returning my emails and so unbelievably kind. On the day of pickup the food was just being completed at pickup time so it was as fresh as possible and wow, it was sooooooo good. Our guests raved about how good the food was the entire party. The pricing was amazing, the package came with all the serving supplies and utensils you need. I ordered for serving 40. We had more than 40, many who ate two plates, and we still had leftovers. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough for catering a party. I'm excited to try the dine in experience as well. Thanks Hawaiian Style Grill!
The food is what you expect. Straight forward and delicious. I usually get the kalua pig on the menu but went with spam and eggs. The portions are spot on and are so good. You can add their sauces but I usually eat it with some roster sauce on the rice and everything else straight up. Their macaroni salad is so good I usually snag another side of it. Prices are very fair for what you get. My go to place in Vancouver!
This is a nice place to get away from the burgers, fried chicken and taco fast food. I am not Hawaiian, although I've been there 3 times, their food is amazing. Of course I didn't sample everything there, but what I ate was great! It was very flavorful. I ate the Katsu Moco, which was like breaded chicken on rice with gravy and an egg on top. My eyes were bigger than my stomach because I ordered two Spam Musubis, which were also amazing. I had food for two days. Nice little, clean, unassuming place in a strip mall, gotta try it.
The food tastes really good and the portions are big. I've tried all of the dishes here and all of them are delicious. This restaurant is a great one to have in your rotation. The only negative is you do have a bit of a wait for the food to come. So order ahead or don't be in a hurry. Other than that this place is awesome
Food is great, service is the worst. They have some system where people who order online go through one cooking line and people who come in person have a different line. So despite the fact that your food is scheduled for 530 after ordering at 500 you will still be waiting for your food at 630. And the best part is watching people come in 30 minutes after you get their food and leave before you even have yours.
My favorite restaurant for Hawaiian style plate lunch. One of the most important aspects of Hawaiian plate lunch in my opinion is the mac salad and the one they have here is great, along with everything else on the menu too. Very generous portions as well. I grew up on Oahu so this kind of food is very comforting and nostalgic to me, highly recommended if you have a big appetite
Staff are friendly and the food is really good, the environment of the place is my favorite part though. It was really relaxing and peaceful after a somewhat rough day. I have no complaints about this place, my experience was great and I'm looking forward to next time I come here.
Our food was fantastic. I ordered a lot of food and was bringing it home for our out of town guest. Every thing was there. Food was hot and tasty. Only problem was hearing my out of town company talk literally all the rest of the night on how good their meal was. Thank you to all your crew. We had great company and fabulous food.
