Food was Ehhhh They only delivered 2 out of 3 meals that we ordered and when I kindly offered to pay for the missing meal(they didn’t charge for the first time) they said they won’t deliver only one item ? then my daughter bit into her fried shrimp and a big black hair was cooked in with the batter ?….. and my fortune cookie had no furtune ?
Best Chinese food in Vancouver, in my opinion; the hours are always the same, the food is consistently awesome and the family that works the restaurant are patient, friendly and they dont make a fuss over substitutions. The egg foo patties are my favorite-always fresh and the gravy is loaded with vegetables. Mongolian beef is delicious; Pork fried rice is loaded with Bbq pork bits; portions are reasonably large and you still get soup when you order it To-go.On their website, they have their own system for ordering online and delivery, so don’t be fooled into paying twice as much ordering thru grubhub or uber-eats.A good dose of their Hot n Sour soup will cure the sniffles and I’d recommend it over chicken noodle any day.
This used to be our go to Vancouver Chinese place. Not anymore since the portions are less than half for the price. Food tasted good but very disappointed in quantity. We both ordered take out which was equally small. Such a shame!
My wife went here to eat, and they found a 'cleaning bristle' in her food. They replaced it, but she still spent the last 3 hours in the bathroom evacuating everything she had just put in herself, and then some, from the food she ate anyways. This place used to be a family staple for us, but the decline in quality has assured that this is the last time any of us will be eating here. Price was definitely not worth the suffering afterwards.
Super delicious! We have three vegetarians and one meat eater and everything was awesome! Portions are generous, fried rice is tender and flavorful, meatless options are perfectly done. Highly recommend!
Really great food. They have great classic "American-style" Chinese like you'd get in NYC or SF. Fried rice was flavorful, orange chicken was crunchy with a bright fresh flavor. The pot stickers were delicious and fried perfectly golden. They probably also have good "authentic" dishes but we didn't try any this time around. The decor is a little dated, in that classic Chinese restaurant way, which to me is part of the appeal. You come to places like this because the food is delicious. I'd rather have that than trendy corporate interior design ☺️
The sweet and sour sauce tasted nothing like what it should, the rice tasted like it was cooked in dirty water, over all unappealing. I should have taken the empty dinning area as a sign to turn around. I don't recommend. The only positive thing is that they can fry frozen chicken nuggets correctly.
Great food, perfect for a pick-up, and packaged really well. I'm less than 10 minutes away, in theory (traffic being what it is, sometimes), and everything was still perfect after a drive on a cold winter night.
This place used to be so good! Not sure what happened but the last 3 times I've ordered the food just hasn't been that good. Not a whole lot of flavor, the general tso's isn't even remotely spicy. The crab puffs are still good though.
Delicious, freshly-prepared food, along with outstanding service. Neat, clean, nice decor, mellow and relaxing ambience. My companion and I were very happy with our meals and will be back soon.
