Good place to eat. Fair prices, lots of food choices. I dislike that I get only a fork and knife when I eat. Spoons would be an awesome addition.Also, I would like to be able to get my own drinks instead of a server having to take my cup to fill it for me. If I am getting my own food, I would like to get my own drink.
Hopeful expectations for Saturday morning breakfast and was completely let down. Arrived around 9 am, not too busy. Plenty of food but none of it was hot and most barely warm. Eggs from a bag were cold. Sausage links were pink inside. Cheese hash browns were decent. Salad bar was stocked and cold. Best part was desserts. Be prepared for $3 fountain drinks. Two breakfast and two drinks was $35 that I should have spent elsewhere.
While a buffet style place is not always to everyone's taste, Golden Corral does a good job on the format Overall, even though they were busy, the place was kept up as best as possible. They were continuously calling out things to get them restocked. They could do better at formatting so the lines dont get as long for the main buffet areas, but you come to expect that places like this. The food was good quality, and staff frequently checked on our drinks and ensured we got timely refills Better than other GCs in the region (note there are not many)
Can’t speak to business practice as far as food handling goes but as a paying customer Iam rather shocked at how good EVERYTHING was! Even the salad dressings are quality. Ice cream seems to be real ice cream. Hush puppies are amazing(I might have smuggled out a couple). Employees are super friendly. Everything including the bathrooms were super clean. My only complaint would be the iceberg lettuce needs to be spun. It was pretty wet. Went with the romaine instead
Where to start....place was so packed nowhere to sit!! Food was disgusting, and wait person when I asked her if she could get me a honey butter and dinner roll informed me that was not her job. Her customer service skills were not there! It's the worse Golden Coral experience I have ever had!!!!!
I would not recommend this Golden Corral the only thing that was good in my opinion was the fried chicken which they were all out of for the first 15 min I was there but at least it was good and fresh. The salad bar was set up kinda funky as it didn't have a flow to it. They had salad toppings mixed with the salad items so one has to go back after they put the dressing on kind of minor but if there was a big crowd of people could be a bit interesting. There was a big enough selection but it's nothing to write home about.If I were you I'd save my money and hit a better restaurant since the pricing is compatible with most places already and you get something you know you'd enjoy. Hometown Buffet is way better in my books as is Izzy's (if they're even still around any longer).If you do decide to give them a shot good luck I hope you have a better experience than I did and happy munching!
I am from Virginia. Moved to Oregon before covid. My friend was working today at the VA Hospital and he had me meet him at work to come here. Was his first time but being that i am from Virginia and Golden Corral is from nc(i never knew this until today), i know what to expect and i wasn't disappointed. Childhood right here even though this was my 1st time to this location. Went to one back in Virginia Beach for over 15 years until they closed it down for a cheaper grocery store. The rolls are always my favorite to get. I haven't been to Golden Corral since September 2019. I looked up on here though the location in Virginia Beach.

really liked the Roast Beef this time, was pretty busy when we got their at 12:30pm, around 1:30p. opened up both sides, meatloaf was Awesome also..
I was very excited to try this for my Valentine's dinner with my family, we had never been before and we're looking forward to it, right away multiple negative things happened, me and my son both being vegetarian there were little to no choices to choose from and the choices there were actually had meat in them too. The cheese pizza had pepperoni on it touching it, the ice cream machine was broken a cookie had a bite tooken out and left on the tray by the other ones, the server was rude it was a negative experience overall. I would not recommend or ever spend $ here again!!
